Join World Of
World Of is growing beyond its interview series into an independent music publication centered on artists, their work, their stories, and the worlds they create.
We’re looking for emerging writers, journalists, creatives, and music lovers who want to contribute to that world!
Please Note: All positions are volunteer-based for now.
Contributors will receive published bylines, an author/team bio on the World Of site, and the opportunity to build a portfolio of music-media work.
Whether you’re building your portfolio, looking for hands-on music media experience, or just want a place to turn your love of music into something creative, we’d love to hear from you!
We're Looking For
Writers & Contributors
We’re looking for writers interested in contributing:
Artist interviews
Artist profiles
Features and long-form stories
Album, EP and single reviews
Opinion and commentary
Music and culture essays
Music news
Emerging artist spotlights and recommendations
Other original music editorial ideas
You don’t need years of professional journalism experience. Strong writing, reliability, and a genuine interest in artists and music matter most.
We welcome writers who want to develop their voice, strengthen their portfolio, and gain experience pitching, interviewing, researching, and writing for a growing independent publication.
We’re currently particularly interested in writers who enjoy writing reviews and music news, including contributors who can help cover K-pop news and releases, though we’re looking for writers across all editorial areas.
Graphic Designers
We’re looking for designers who can help shape the visual world of World Of through:
Editorial and feature graphics
Artist-focused social media graphics
Instagram carousels
Promotional graphics
Recurring series templates
Other creative visual concepts for the publication
What matters most is a strong visual eye and the ability to create work that feels expressive, music-focused, and distinctly World Of.
Social Media & Content Contributors
We’re also looking for people interested in helping bring World Of’s stories beyond the website through:
Instagram and TikTok content
Social media post concepts
Artist and music discovery content
Turning published stories into engaging social content
Community engagement
Helping introduce new readers and music fans to World Of
A strong understanding of online music culture, fandom and social platforms is a major plus!
Who Should Apply?
You might be a good fit if you’re a writer, journalism student, graphic designer, social media creative or simply someone trying to gain meaningful experience in music media.
You should be passionate about discovering artists, interested in music and culture, comfortable collaborating with a growing independent publication and excited about helping shape something while it’s still growing.
You do not need an established music-industry career or a huge portfolio to apply.
