Ella Murray

Hello! My name is Ella and I am a music journalist, academic and all-round massive fangirl. My interests are spread across many different genres, but you will find me more prominently in the K-Pop scene, spreading my views on K-bands and Idol groups alike (my favourites are Lucy, Xdinary Heroes, 8Turn and Enhypen). Music is a part of my daily life, it is what keeps me going when things get tough and romanticises my days when they feel dull. I love band music; being able to layer each instrument together and identify how each instrumentalist contributes to the song is mind-boggling. Outside of writing, I have done my undergraduate in Korean studies and my Masters in Translation. I also lived in Seoul for a year as an exchange student. My next academic goal is to fulfill my PhD in fandom and digital culture, starting next year at the University of Manchester.
