You may have heard about manifestation, gained an interest in it, and found yourself falling down the rabbit hole of Twitter threads, Pinterest posts, TikTok tutorials, and YouTube videos surrounding the topic before you could even think about it. And somewhere along your journey, you may have realized that you don’t know what on Earth people are talking about in these posts most of the time.
“What’s a 3D? What do you mean by “saturating”? What does it mean to persist?”
If you’ve been asking yourself these questions, you’re in luck! In this article, we’ll take a look at 20 of the most common manifestation terms you should know!
What Is Manifestation?
Firstly, if you’re just now finding out about manifestation, you may be asking yourself what it actually is.
By Google’s definition, manifestation is “an event, action, or object that clearly shows or embodies something, especially a theory or an abstract idea.”
Manifestation can be described as a self-help practice (within the self-growth and self-development realm), and to someone who practices the Law of Attraction, it could be described as a practice that entails changing your mindset and energy to align with your desires and attract the things you want.
In the Law of Assumption, it can be described as a method of changing your beliefs and embodying the version of yourself who already has your desire for the purpose of bringing said desire into your life.
Manifestation is basically the process of turning your internal world—your thoughts, assumptions, beliefs, and identity—into your external reality. It’s not about forcing things to happen or obsessively trying to “get” something. It’s about becoming the version of you who already has it, and allowing your external circumstances to shift as a result.
Put simply: manifestation is the act of imagining something into existence—consciously and intentionally. You’re always manifesting, whether you realize it or not. Your assumptions, dominant thoughts, and internal self-talk are constantly shaping the life you experience.
Some people explain manifestation through energy, frequency, or alignment (like with the Law of Attraction). Others explain it through identity, belief, and the subconscious mind (like with the Law of Assumption). Either way, the core idea is the same: your reality reflects who you are being internally. Change your internal state, and the external has no choice but to follow.
To put it in even simpler terms, manifestation is simply taking something from imagination and turning it into reality.
Is Manifestation Real? Does it work?
Many naysayers don’t believe in manifestation, claiming it’s a silly thing to believe in or that it doesn’t result in anything. I’m not particularly inclined to attempt changing their minds, but they are incorrect. If you’re struggling to believe that manifestation is a thing that produces results—or that it’s a thing at all—I highly recommend taking some time to listen to other people’s success stories.
Hearing about the lives other people have managed to create for themselves and the things they’ve been able to transform from desires into fully materialized manifestations is what helped me understand that manifestation is real.
However, if that doesn’t seem like a very appealing route to you and you need more hardcore evidence, you could always check out some videos, books, or academic essays on physics, how the brain functions, the science behind manifestation, and why it works instead.

Common Manifestation Terms You Should Know
3D
Starting with an extremely common term, let’s talk about the 3D. When I was first introduced to manifestation, I was super confused about what people were referring to when they mentioned the 3D, but there’s actually a very simple explanation for it!
The 3D is just your current physical reality. Your outer or external reality. The 3D is what you outwardly experience, but it’s directly impacted by what’s happening in the 4D.
4D
The 4D is essentially your thoughts and imagination. Your inner world—and your inner world is your internal state. This includes your beliefs, assumptions, thoughts, and feelings.
The 4D is considered to be a realm in which your thoughts and emotions can create your 3D reality, and it’s thought to be the real reality. Why? Because you experience things internally before seeing them in your outer reality. That’s why affirming, visualizing, and other similar methods work.

Why Does The 3D and 4D Matter?
Before we move on to the other terms, let’s discuss the 3D and 4D a bit more.
You’ll notice when interacting with people in manifestation spaces that it’s often emphasized to pay attention only to the 4D and pay no mind to the 3D. But why?
To put it in the simplest terms, the 4D is your world. Your imagination. This is where everything you desire already is. Think of your 4D as your dream life—the one you want to have in the 3D. In your 4D, maybe you’re rich and successful with your dream career, a big group of friends that you adore, a significant other who loves you, and everything else that you’ve ever wanted in life.
The 3D is said to be a neutral place. It’s not out to get you. It’s not inherently good or bad. The 3D is what you make it. The 3D reflects what you believe in the 4D.
For example, if you spend all your free time thinking about how crappy your life is, imagining every horrible case scenario that could possibly happen to you, daydreaming about all the bad things that you assume and expect will occur in your life, feeding energy only to the worst thoughts…Your 3D will likely reflect that. If you believe bad things will happen, bad things will happen.
On the flip side, when you spend your time and energy thinking, imagining, and believing that good things will happen, good things tend to happen.
Some people don’t believe in this line of thinking as they don’t believe they—or their minds—have any power or control over what happens to them or around them. A lot of people have a victim mentality, and as a result, believe that they aren’t responsible—even in the least bit—for their circumstances.
I would once again urge those people to read a book about quantum physics (or do any amount of research about the brain and how it functions) for a better understanding of the mind and how it works. That will give you a better understanding of why your thoughts, scientifically speaking, matter.
Now, let’s proceed!
Affirm
To affirm is to simply tell yourself the new story.
By Google’s definition, affirming is to:
- State as a fact; assert strongly and publicly.
- Offer (someone) emotional support or encouragement.
When you hear people saying, “Affirm, Affirm, Affirm!” and you’re scratching your head, wondering what in the world they mean by that, just know that they’re telling you to continue telling yourself the story that you desire to hear. They are telling you to repeat your affirmations.
And just what are affirmations?
Affirmations
Affirmations are short, declarative, positive statements used to promote a positive mindset, foster personal growth, challenge negative thoughts, and reinforce a belief, identity, or desired outcome.
Self-help affirmations—affirmations used within the self-help space—are phrases that you repeat regularly with the intention of rewiring your brain: replacing negative thoughts with positive ones and negative thought patterns with ones that actually benefit you.
Manifestation affirmations—affirmations used within the manifestation space—are similarly used to rewire your subconscious mind and help you embody the version of yourself who already has your desires. You can think of them as mental scripts that, over time, can help you shift your identity, change your assumptions, and rewrite the story you’re living out.
Affirmations are a reminder. Affirmations are you affirming to yourself that the things you desire are already yours.
For example, let’s say you have three main desires. First and foremost, you want to be financially abundant. Second order of business, you want to be attractive. Last, you want your crush to like you back.
Let’s take a look at some affirmations that suit these desires:
- I am financially abundant!
- This is my best financial year yet!
- My bank account is overflowing with money!
- Money is always flowing into my life!
- Every cent I spend comes back to me multiplied by ten!
- I’m always attracting money. Money is so attracted to me!
- I’m so happy now that I’m rich!
- I get paid just for being alive!
- I always have more money than I know what to do with!
- Why do I always have so much money?
- I’m literally so gorgeous!
- My body is literally so perfect!
- My skin is glowing today!
- I’m so attractive!
- Everyone is always telling me how attractive I am!
- Why am I so perfect?
- I’m so pretty!
- Every day, I wake up looking even prettier!
- My visual is insane! I am so stunning!
- I love my appearance!
- My crush has a crush on me, too!
- I’m so happy now that my crush and I are dating!
- My crush likes me just as much as I like them!
- My crush has feelings for me!
- I’m so grateful that my crush likes me back!
- My crush has an even bigger crush on me!
- My crush finally confessed their feelings for me!
- My crush is so lucky I like them!
- I’m so happy now that I’m going out on a date with my crush!
- I’m so happy now that I’m in a relationship with my crush!

Once again, I repeat, to affirm is to simply tell yourself the new story. Your affirmations are just the new story. The new story is what you desire. What you desire is now yours. Why? Because you assume it is.
If you want to go on a beach trip during the summer, your affirmations should be something similar to, “I’m so happy I’m going on a beach trip this summer!” If you want to pass an exam, your affirmations should be something similar to, “I’ve passed my exam!” If you want your SP to propose to you, your affirmations should be something similar to, “My SP finally proposed!”
Affirmations are simple. They’re just you repeating what you desire until you—and your subconscious—understand that it is yours.
You don’t need overly complicated, fifty-word-long affirmations. They can be short, simple sentences that you can memorize and repeat over and over again, and that feel natural to you. However, if you’d like to be more detailed with your affirmations, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that either, as long as your affirmations are well-suited to and resonate with you.
You can have as many or as few affirmations as you’d prefer. Some people like to have a whole list of affirmations to read through every day. Some prefer to stick with just 3–5, which they memorize and repeat as needed. Some like to robotic affirm, others like to have rampages or focus affirm. There’s no wrong way to do it, but there are several different ways to go about repeating your affirmations.
You can repeat them aloud or in your head at any time. Staring into your own eyes in the mirror and repeating them is a powerful way to connect with your inner being and truly tap into your power. Although it may feel awkward at first, it will soon become a normal (and possibly favorite) part of your routine!
You can also just listen to affirmation tapes if you don’t feel like memorizing them and repeating them aloud. There are thousands of affirmation videos on YouTube, and you can take the time to go through a few and find the ones that resonate with you. Then, you can put the videos on in the background as you do whatever else! However, if you prefer more personalized affirmations that are one hundred percent relevant to you, you can always take the time to make your own affirmation tape.
A popular method for those who prefer to repeat just a few affirmations is using the Parrot app. This is an app that allows you to record your affirmations in your own voice. You just have to record them once; then, you can play them on repeat for as long as you’d like. You can record as few or as many affirmations as you’d like, and you can listen to them while you sleep, do chores, drive, or anything else. I highly recommend this app because it’s simple and easy to use, and hearing your affirmations in your own voice is much more effective than hearing them in someone else’s.

Finally, I’d like to say that you can play around with your affirmations by adding things like boosters, and that there are some words you want to avoid when affirming.
Words like “Literally” add emphasis to your affirmations—IE. “I am literally so gorgeous, I am literally so popular, I am literally so successful, I am literally so loved.”—while words like “Already” can act as additional confirmation—IE. “I already aced my test, I already have my dream body, and I’m already so abundant.”
“I know for a fact” and “Because I said so” are also good confirmation phrases to help boost your affirmations. “I know for a fact that I got the job,” “I know for a fact that I got a raise,” “I got the job because I said so,” “I got that raise because I said so.”
I personally like to be sassy, if not a little bratty, with my inner voice. And if you’re someone who struggles with self-doubt or a mind that tries to tell you that you actually don’t have insert the thing you’ve been affirming for, these are great phrases to subtly tell that nagging, negative, disbelieving voice in the back of your mind to shut up. You do have your desires. Why? Because you know it for a fact and because you said so. No further explanation needed.
On the flip side, try to avoid phrases such as “never,” “don’t,” “going to,” “will,” “hope,” “wish,” etc. These can have a subtle negative connotation, and you want to keep things as positive as possible.
Instead of saying, “I never have bad dreams,” say, “I always have good dreams.” Instead of saying, “I don’t have any debt,” say something like, “I have so much money that I paid off all my debts.”
And the goal is to live in the end—which we’ll touch on later in the article, but for now, just know that it means to live in the state of the wish fulfilled. This means you should know that you’re not “in the process” of “trying to” manifest.
Trying is not doing. Trying is trying, and doing is doing. You don’t want to be trying. You want to be doing. You don’t want to be living your desired life in the future—the future never comes. You want to be living your desired life in the present; The present is always here.
You are not “going to” get rich. You are rich. You “will” not get a car. You have a car. You have gotten a car. Yesterday. You do not “hope” or “wish” that your crush will like you back. Your crush likes you back. You just found out that your crush likes you back.
Words that imply something will happen in the future—rather than that it’s happened now—are not ideal. Words that imply it’s happening in the present tense or even that it’s already happened (past tense) are the way to go. These words keep you living in the end, rather than constantly wishing for a future that’ll never come because you are always living in the present.
How can you know or believe that it’s already happened or already yours now if there’s no “proof” in the 3D?
- Understand that the 4D (your internal world/imagination) is the actual reality, and if you experience having your desires there, you truly do have them. Visualize yourself having your desires, script yourself having them, feel yourself having them—experience them in whatever way suits you. And then realize that they are already yours and you have already experienced them—and assume that whatever you choose to experience in imagination will inevitably manifest in the outer reality, because whatever you assume to be true is true. (And no, the bad or negative things you think or imagine do not reflect in the outer reality if you make it your assumption that only the things you want to show up in the 3D do).
- Understand that it’s true that you already have your desires right now because there are infinite realities that all exist at the same time, and in at least one of them, you do have what you’re saying you have right now. So, you’re telling the truth when you say you have it, and by thinking as, acting as, and being the version of you who already has it, you are shifting into that reality, which means you will inevitably see your desires reflected outwardly.
Now, one last affirmation tip is to avoid “you are” affirmations. Some people like them, and that’s totally fine. However, some people believe they’re much less effective than “I am” affirmations. Of course, whatever you assume to be true is true, so if you assume the wording of your affirmations doesn’t matter, then it doesn’t.
But if you would prefer to steer clear of “you are” affirmations, then instead of looking at yourself in the mirror and saying things like, “You are loved,” “You are so precious,” and “You are so smart,” say “I am loved,” “I am so precious,” “I am so smart.” This closes the distance between you and the person you’re talking about (also you) and makes it easier for your subconscious to be impressed.
Detach
Detaching is most commonly talked about in LOA, which we’ll discuss next.
To detach from something simply means to disengage.
Think about a blanket, a teddy bear, a movie, a celebrity, a song, a food, or anything else that you were obsessed with when you were a child. If someone took your teddy bear, you would throw a fit. If you couldn’t find your blanket, you would throw a fit. If someone changed the channel when you were watching your movie or the station when you were listening to your song, you’d throw a fit because you were extremely attached to these things.
Now, fast forward to the current day. When was the last time you even saw that teddy bear? Maybe you gave away that blanket. You probably can’t even remember the last time you saw that movie or heard that song. You probably forgot all about the celebrity you used to be such a big fan of. If you came across these things tomorrow, you’d probably be very happy or excited to see them, but you’re not stressing over them today.
That’s because you’re detached from these things now. And in LOA, the idea of detaching is similar. Instead of obsessing over an outcome—”Will I get it? When is it going to come? Where is it?”—you want to detach from it and surrender to whatever outcome occurs. It’s thought that when you detach, your manifestations come to you much easier and in the way they’re meant to.
In the LOASS community, detachment is a controversial subject. Some people argue that you should detach from your desires; others argue that it’s not your desires that you need to detach from, but instead, outcomes.
Essentially, the belief is that if you’re overly attached to your desire or the outcome (receiving it), you’re not actually in the state of the wish fulfilled or being the version of you who already has it, like you’re saying you are.
The idea is that being clingy and in a state of desperation—feeling like you need to have something—is not the kind of energy you want to be in while claiming you are already the person who has it.
The person who has their desire isn’t clinging to it and obsessing over it at all times, and desperation is, frankly, a very repellent energy. Nobody wants to be around someone who’s desperate all the time, and the idea is that the things you desire don’t want to come near you when you’re desperate for them either.
I don’t disagree, but there are a lot of LOASS followers who do, and who think detachment is totally unnecessary, a made-up construct, and a limiting belief that is holding people back from actually manifesting their desires because people get so caught up on worrying about whether or not they’re actually “detached” enough that they start overthinking and don’t manifest the things they want.
As per usual, it’s really up to the individual to decide whether they believe in or agree with the concept of detachment for the sake of manifestation. It’s a complex topic of discussion with tons of discourse about it already swirling around it. Read more about it if you’d like, but otherwise, just keep this in mind: As always, in the Law of Assumption, it’s your assumptions that manifest for you, not other people’s. So, if you assume you must detach to manifest, then that’s true for you. If you assume you don’t need to detach to manifest, that’s true for you. If you assume it doesn’t matter at all, that’s true for you.
LOA
LOA stands for Law Of Attraction. When you’re first getting into manifestation, this is likely the method you’ll hear the most about. Many of us started out following the Law of Attraction, didn’t see results or felt too limited, and then discovered the Law of Assumption. I personally swear by the Law of Assumption, but it’s up to you as an individual to decide what works best for you or resonates the most with you. So, with that being said…
The Law of Attraction states that a person attracts what they think and what they believe. To put it simply, in LOA, it’s believed that the energy you put out is the energy you receive. Positive attracts positive, negative attracts negative. This is why, in LOA, a heavy emphasis is placed on changing your mindset and working to become a more positive thinker in order to attract more positive outcomes. It’s all about changing your vibration and energetic frequency to match the energy of that which you desire and align with your desires.
For example, the idea is that if you want to have kind-hearted, trustworthy, respectful, successful friends, you’re most likely not going to get them by being a cruel, sneaky, disrespectful, “going nowhere” kind of person.
LOA says that you must, at the absolute very least, partially align with what you desire.
In the LOA, you are encouraged to eliminate as much negativity as possible from your life to make room for more positivity. Practices like meditation, journaling, and expressing gratitude daily— even for the simplest things—can help attract more positive energy while reducing negative energy.
None of these things is too different from LOASS beliefs. Most people who follow the Law of assumption also believe that you must become the version of yourself who already has your desires if you want to manifest them, which is similar to how LOA followers believe you must align with the things you want—though they’re not the exact same.
People who practice the Law of Assumption do things like journaling, meditating, and expressing gratitude, too—just not because they think they have to in order to change their vibrational frequency.
I’d say the main difference between the LOA and the LOASS is the emphasis on outside forces. The Law of Attraction is more spiritual, and people who follow it tend to believe in higher powers such as God, The Universe, Ancestors, Spirit Guides, and more. LOA followers believe the things they desire will be brought to them “in due time,” “when the time is right,” or “when it’s meant for them.”
LOASS
LOASS stands for Law Of Assumption. LOASS, like LOA, also encourages positive thinking, but in a different way. As we already discussed, in LOA, it is believed that you manifest your desires by aligning with them, and usually, you align with them by changing your frequency and becoming a more positive being in order to attract them. In LOASS, it’s not about attracting the things you desire, but rather, assuming that your desires belong to you. It’s already yours, just because.
LOASS states that whatever you assume becomes your reality. If you assume it’s raining tomorrow, then it will simply rain tomorrow. If you assume you’re finding a thousand dollars tomorrow, then you will simply find a thousand dollars tomorrow. Just as long as you embody the state of someone who already has it, it’s yours; you’re getting it, and it’s done. End of discussion.
In LOASS it’s believed that whatever needs to move in order for you to receive your desires will move because your word is law, and in the Law of Assumption, your assumptions must always be proven to be true.
LOASS, unlike LOA, is not about raising your vibration and matching energies with the things you desire. Less emphasis is placed on believing in things like your affirmations, too. LOA encourages you to truly believe that you are everything your affirmations say you are. If you affirm, “I am gorgeous,” or “I am a money magnet,” you should be trying your best to believe that and match energies with it.
In LOASS, you can have those same affirmations, but the belief is that you don’t need to believe them or “align” with them. You just need to repeat them over and over again until they impress your subconscious and become your new story. You just need to repeat them so many times that you’re incapable of thinking otherwise.
Unlike the Law of Attraction, The Law of Assumption emphasizes “self.” In LOASS, it is widely believed that everything comes from you. You have all the power, and you are the one who brings change into your life. You are God.
(And for any religious people who may be reading this, don’t take offense. Many people say this because God created them, is in them, they are in God, and they are one with God. Therefore, they are God—and it isn’t a bad thing to understand that you are one with God. Plus, being one with God and functioning as God functions is mentioned many times in the Bible. However, if you’re uncomfortable with saying, “I am God,” you can just stick to saying “I am the creator of my reality.”)
In LOASS, you are the creator of everything. While LOA states that people have their own free will, LOASS states that you are in control of everyone and everything in your life because everyone and everything is merely an extension of you and your imagination.
In LOA, detaching is a big part of manifesting, as you’re encouraged to let your guides, God, the Universe, or whatever you believe in do their job, which is to bring your desires to you when and how they see fit. The belief is that the higher powers know better than you, and your job is simply to tell them what you want and then trust them to bring it to you in the best way possible.
In LOASS, it’s not about detaching from what you’re manifesting. It’s about living in the end—where you’ve already got your manifestation, and knowing that you don’t need to wait on outside sources to give you “proof,” “validation,” or even results because you are the one in control.
So, Which Is Better, and Which One Is For Me?
Before we move on to the other terms, we should probably discuss the elephant in the room. Given the numerous conflicting beliefs between LOA and LOASS, you may wonder which law is superior and which one to follow.
First and foremost, the more you read, the more you realize they’re extremely similar with just a few key differences. Same principles, different deliveries. Same destination, slightly different paths to get there.
Let’s take a look at a few of their key differences.
LOA:
🌟More about positivity, growth, and mindset
🌟More religious or spiritual aspects
🌟More of the power is placed outside of oneself
LOASS:
🌟More practical
🌟More science-based than spiritual
🌟More of the power is placed within oneself
Just by reading my extremely brief summary of the two laws—and trust me, there are many more differences that could be discussed, and we hardly even touched on the similarities, but that could have become a 10k word eBook on its own, so I narrowed it down as much as possible—you’ve probably already noticed that you resonate with one more than the other. That’s fine.
The correct law to follow is the one that speaks to you. Do more research on both of them and decide which of them aligns with you. If one law just doesn’t resonate with you at all, there’s no problem with that. It’s all about what you connect with and what connects with you.
If you’re like me, there might be some aspects of each of them that resonate with you, and there might be some aspects of each of them that you don’t vibe with. In that case, you might find yourself taking certain aspects from each of them and applying them to your life and your situation as you see fit. This, in my opinion, is absolutely fine.
I’ll admit that I’m biased and have had better experiences with and manifested more things successfully with the Law of Assumption. I believe it’s the best law to follow and would strongly recommend it to anyone who asks, but again, you have to make that choice for yourself.
Manifestation, Spirituality, and Religion
I’ll address another elephant in the room, too. The topic of manifestation spirituality and religion is a complex one that I could (and should) write a whole other article on, but I’ll try to keep this section brief.
I would just like to put emphasis on the fact that you should do and say what feels right to you, and leave what doesn’t resonate with you behind when figuring out which Law to follow and which aspects of each law work for you. Many of us come from religious backgrounds that discourage manifestation due to the misunderstanding of it, or struggle with certain terminology (such as phrases like “I am God” or “There is nothing outside of me because I am the creator”). It’s okay to leave that kind of terminology behind if you don’t vibe with it, and to come to your own conclusions about manifestation.
We are all always manifesting whether we realize it or not, but we all also get to decide how we interact with manifestation when we do discover its existence. If you’re not a religious person, you don’t have to include religion in your manifestation journey, and if you are a religious person, you don’t have to exclude it. You don’t have to see manifestation as “going against God.” You don’t have to believe in spirit guides, the universe, or other outside sources making your manifestations happen for you—but it’s okay if you do.
I personally believe in God, Spirit Guides, and other religious and spiritual aspects that a lot of Law of Assumption followers don’t, and at first, I worried that I should stick to the Law of Attraction due to this belief, or that I was going against the Law of Assumption if I enjoyed things like angel numbers or believed that the Universe could assist me during my manifestation journey.
Now, I understand that it doesn’t matter what other people think; I’m allowed to believe in what I want to believe in. Everyone’s path is different, and I’m personally a mixed bag. I’m a spiritual Law of Assumption follower who believes in God and strongly values science-backed facts. And that’s fine.
All this is to say, follow the law that resonates with you, and don’t put yourself into a box. You can be a spiritual person who follows the Law of Assumption, and you also don’t have to be spiritual or religious at all to manifest. Take what resonates with you from each law and apply it. Do and follow whatever helps you create the life of your dreams.
Now, let’s continue learning about the remainder of these 20 Common Manifestation Terms!
Persist
Persisting means to “continue firmly or obstinately in an opinion or a course of action in spite of difficulty, opposition, or failure.”
In simpler terms, it means to just keep going, no matter what. Just keep swimming, as Dory would say.
Think of the tortoise and the hare. The hare was much faster than the tortoise and had every reason to believe he’d beat the tortoise in the race. The odds were in his favor, and they were stacked against the tortoise, whose circumstances weren’t favorable by any means. Yet, in the end, it was the tortoise who ended up winning the race. Why? Because he continued to persist. Even if he was much slower than the hare, he was still wise enough to keep going.
The tortoise could have assumed he’d lose and given up early in the race, in which case, the hare would have eventually made it to the finish line and won. But instead, the tortoise decided to do the smart thing, which was ignoring his circumstances and persisting with determination while believing in himself and his ability to do what nobody thought he could.
The 3D is not your enemy. It is a neutral reflection of your beliefs. However, a lot of people feel “bullied” by their 3D. They fear the 3D because it often depicts unfavorable circumstances, leading them to believe they can’t have the things they desire. Think of the 3D as the hare. Overly cocky and foolishly under the impression that it can easily defeat you. Think of yourself as the tortoise. You’ll come out victorious in the end because you know to keep persisting.
Example of persisting:
If your biggest goal and dream is to have your own place to live, believe wholeheartedly that you already have it and that it has already happened for you. If the 3D shows you are not hearing back after submitting applications for apartments, getting rejected for mortgage loans, or not having enough money to move out, simply shake your head and say, “That’s not true. I’ve already manifested my own place. I already have it.” And if 20 more unfavorable circumstances show up in the 3D to convince you that you don’t have your own place, I don’t care. Repeat, “I’ve already manifested my own place. I already have it.”
This is persistence.
Although it’s important to remember that the 3D is not your enemy, I do sometimes like to think of the 3D as a mean magician who enjoys creating illusions for the sake of making you feel disoriented and masking the real truth. Think of those funhouses they have at carnivals with all the mirrors that make you look so different, depending on which one you look at. Some make you look super thin, while some make you look as round as an Oompa Loompa. Others make you look completely distorted, with your limbs twisted like pretzels. But in the end, your body never changed from its usual form despite the illusions, and when you walk out of the funhouse and take a look in a regular mirror, you’ll see that.
Do you start crying and panicking every time you enter one of those funhouses because you think your body has actually transformed into the image those mirrors portray? Or do you laugh at the silly and inaccurate display before calmly leaving the funhouse and moving on to the next carnival station?
Think of visiting a haunted house in October. They’re scary, yes, but do you think you’ll be trapped in it forever? Do you start freaking out because you think this is your life now? Do you think you’re doomed to live in this terrifying place for the rest of your life? Or do you know that you’ll be out of it in just a couple of minutes, away from the illusion of ghosts and monsters?
Don’t freak out because the 3D isn’t showing you what you want to see just yet. Know that the 3D is neutral and that you already have what you want. Your assumptions must manifest. If you assume you have your desires, you must have them—there’s no way you can’t. So no matter what the outside looks like, as long as you’ve decided it’s already done and you already have your desire, then guess what? It’s already done and you have your desire. And until your outer reality reflects that, if it helps, you can think of the 3D as a mean trickster whose tricks will always be exposed for being phony.
Imagine this trickster is the one taking you on an unpleasant trip through a haunted house. He only has the time it takes to walk you through the house to convince you that his illusions are real, but of course, you know they aren’t, and the trip through the house won’t last forever. (In fact the less you resist it, the faster you’ll get through it!) You know this isn’t reality. You know you’ll get to move past his illusions once you leave.
In conclusion, the truth—your desire—will always be revealed.
Just as long as you continue to assume you have what you want regardless of anything—AKA, just as long as you continue to persist.
Saturate
Remember how we talked about affirming and affirmations earlier? Saturating is very closely related to them. When I started on my manifestation journey, something that confused me to no end was the word “saturating.” When people would rage about how great saturating was or how much time they’d spent saturating that day, I felt like a child left behind because I absolutely couldn’t understand what they meant by that. But it’s so simple.
Saturating is just continuously reminding yourself that you already have what you desire. Saturating is taking in the new story as much as possible, sitting with it, basking in it, living in it. Saturating is you taking the time to really embody the version of yourself who already has what you desire as much as you possibly can. You can do this by affirming, visualizing, or just thinking about your desires—again, as if you already have them. Because you do.
When I think of saturating, I think of saturation sessions. You can do ten-minute-long sessions, thirty-minute-long sessions, hour-long sessions, eight-hour-long sessions, or whatever suits you. During the session, all you have to do is connect with your desired self and your desired reality.
If your deepest desire is to have your own home and you decide to do an hour-long saturation session, then you’ll spend an hour thinking about your home, thinking about the person you are now that you have your home, thinking about your daily routine as a homeowner, etc. Visualizing your home—where it is, the way it looks, the things you do in it, the things you don’t allow in it. Repeating your affirmations—”I am so happy now that I’ve moved into my own home. I love my new home. I’m so glad I finally moved into my own home.”— over and over again as you think about it and visualize it. You can script about it, journal about it, doodle elements of your dream home while you visualize it, etc. You can browse online furniture stores while envisioning yourself moving into your new home, all while affirming that it’s yours now. Whatever works for you.

Saturation sessions are basically just you taking the time out of your busy day to focus on yourself and the things you desire. Allowing yourself to dedicate time and your full attention to interacting with the desires and the world that you want, which is something that I think a lot of us sometimes forget to do when we have such a busy schedule.
You can lay down, close your eyes, and let your imagination run amuck if you’d like to during your saturation session. You can stare at the wall for ten hours, only thinking about your desire that whole time while repeating your affirmations over and over again. And personally, I prefer and recommend taking the time to do nothing but sit with your imagination while saturating, but if that doesn’t sound appealing to you or if you’re exceptionally busy, that’s no problem either.
You can saturate while deep-cleaning your house, working out at the gym, playing games, or running errands. Again, whatever works for you. Just make sure you allow yourself to dive deep inside your imagination and truly envision the things you want—And remember to think as if they’re already yours.
((BECAUSE THEY ARE!))
One final thing I’d like to note about saturation sessions is that there are some things you can do if you’re an “in-betweener.” Maybe you have the free time to sit and focus on saturating without doing anything else, but you don’t like to sit still and stare at nothingness the whole time, might fall asleep if you do it with your eyes closed, and prefer to have something to do with your hands—but nothing that’ll distract you from saturating.
You’re just like me, my friend.
I like to use the counter app, which is simple enough. You just tap the screen every time you repeat your affirmation, or if you like to loop a scene in your head over and over again, you can tap the screen after each time the scene plays out. The counter app is minimally distracting but does a great job of keeping me focused and engaged during my sessions. Plus, I like to challenge myself by refusing to stop my saturation session until I reach a certain number.
If you don’t feel like downloading an app, you could always grab a pen and paper and tally your repetition up instead.
SC
SC stands for “Self-Concept,” and your self-concept is the way you view yourself, both outwardly and internally. Your self-concept isn’t just one concept but rather several concepts that you have about yourself in various areas of your life.
For example, you have a self-concept regarding your appearance, your relationships, and your abilities, just to name a few. You might think of yourself as a gorgeous, curvy woman, a cute, nerdy boy, or a plain and average-looking person. You might think of yourself as a great best friend, a horrible romantic partner, and a respectful child. You might think you’re a poor student, that you’re excellent at your job, that you’re great at playing sports, or that you’re an awesome babysitter, a great gamer, a terrible cook…The list goes on.
Self-concept refers to how you perceive yourself in relation to a specific area of your life. And it’s essential to work on your self-concept because the higher it is, the easier it is for you to tap into your manifestation powers.
For instance, if you perceive yourself as someone who struggles with manifestation and takes a long time to achieve your goals, it will be more challenging for you to see your desired outcomes. If you tell yourself enough times that you’re a master manifester who always manifests instantly, with ease, your subconscious will soon pick up on this new story, you will soon begin to truly believe it, and you will soon see that it’s true. You are a master manifester, and you do always manifest instantly, with ease.
If you see yourself as ugly, awkward, undesirable, unlovable, unsuccessful, etc., you open yourself up to others seeing you that way as well, and you will notice more people and circumstances that make you feel that way—because what you focus on grows, and what you assume to be true is always true.
You don’t have to think of yourself that way, and you don’t need to live in that story. Instead, you can choose to see yourself as beautiful, graceful, desirable, easy to love, and innately successful.
Some would say shifting your mindset is easier said than done, but working on your self-concept is super important because when you think highly of yourself, it becomes much easier to understand that you deserve—and already have—your desires and are capable of achieving your goals, getting the things you want, and living the life you want, too.
And no, you don’t need a perfect self-concept to manifest, and if you assume you don’t need to have a good self-concept to manifest, then, of course, you don’t. But why go through life hating yourself, feeling insecure and unsure of your abilities, and thinking that your desires are better than or above you when you could just…Not do that…And work on your self-concept instead?
SP
SP simply stands for “Specific Person.” If someone—such as a crush, a potential partner, an ex, a friend, a family member, or even a classmate or colleague—is the object of your desires or the main subject of your manifestations, they can be considered a special person.
But most commonly, the term “SP” is used to refer to a crush or a romantic partner that you’re manifesting.
Subliminals
Subliminals are basically the same thing as affirmations. The only difference is that subliminals play the affirmations at a volume and frequency that only your subconscious can hear and understand.
Subliminals are great for people who would prefer to listen to calming sounds or music whenever they have the chance, instead of listening to the same words repeated over and over again. You can find subliminals on YouTube that mix affirmations with waterfall, rain, wind, or meditation sounds and listen to them as much as your heart desires. You won’t hear the words of affirmation mixed in with these sounds, but your subconscious will, and that’s what actually matters.
Another benefit of not consciously hearing the words of affirmation is the lack of arguing you allow yourself to do with them. When you’re repeating affirmations like “I’m so rich,” “I’m so pretty,” or “I’m so famous” aloud, sometimes the negative and “logical” voices in your head won’t allow you to believe them. You might find a small voice in the back of your head arguing, “No, I’m not,” even as you’re trying your best to believe your affirmations wholeheartedly.
When you listen to subliminals, you don’t have that problem. Your conscious isn’t picking up on the words, so it isn’t arguing with them either. The idea is that the subconscious is much more receptive and easier to impress than the conscious is.
If you tell your conscious to do something or think a certain way, most of the time, it isn’t going to blindly obey you. Usually, it will argue and put up a fight. Your subconscious, however, is always ready to say, “Yes!”
Tell your subconscious that you are gorgeous, and it will agree. Tell your subconscious that you are ugly, and it will agree. Tell your subconscious that you are rich, and it will agree. Tell your subconscious that you are poor, and it will agree. Tell your subconscious that you are the luckiest person in the world, and it will blindly agree. Tell your subconscious that you have the worst luck ever, and guess what your subconscious is going to do.
Your subconscious is a yes man, which makes impressing it easy—as long as your conscious isn’t standing by, just waiting to point any “false” information out.
So, subliminals are great, especially for those who struggle a bit more with believing their affirmations. However, keep in mind that you should be careful. You want to ensure you’re feeding your subconscious only the best information, so be selective with which subliminals you decide to listen to.
Unfortunately, there are some people out there who might not have the best intentions. They could make subliminals with negative affirmations, post them, and wait for vulnerable people to find them and listen to them regularly. I’d argue there aren’t many people out there who’d spend their time doing a thing like that, but you never know.
To make sure the subliminals you’re listening to are safe, make sure to do some research. Listen to subliminals from well-trusted channels with lots of positive comments from people with proven results. You can find a lot of discussions regarding subliminals and all the best and most trusted subliminal makers and channels on Reddit. Two popular, trustworthy subliminal makers whose channels I enjoy are High Frequency Guru and I Want It, I Got It.
But technically, the safest and most effective way to listen to a subliminal is to make your own. It’s the one way you can be 1000% sure that you’re only allowing your subconscious to hear the things you want it to hear! You can also find tutorials about how to make them on Reddit and YouTube.
SATS
SATS stands for “State Akin to Sleep.” It’s a manifestation technique popularized by Neville Goddard, where you enter a deeply relaxed, drowsy state—typically right before falling asleep or right after waking up—and imagine a scene that implies your desire has already come true.
You can also enter SATS throughout the day when your mind is calm, such as during or after meditation, or while doing low-effort tasks such as washing dishes or folding clothes.
The idea is that when you’re in this drowsy state, your subconscious mind is more receptive to suggestion, making it the perfect time to impress it with new assumptions or imaginal scenes. In SATS, you visualize a short, simple, evocative scene from a first-person perspective that would only be true if your manifestation were already a done deal. To make it as effective as possible, you want to try using all five of your senses to make the scene feel as vivid as possible.
For example, let’s say you’ve interviewed for a job that you really want because you’re passionate about the work and it pays $120k per year. Your SATS scene might be one of the following scenarios:
Scenario 1: You’re Getting Dressed For Work
Visual (Sight):
Picture yourself standing in front of your closet, selecting your outfit. Notice the type of clothes you wear now that you have your $120k job. Are they more tailored? More luxurious? Watch your reflection in the mirror as you adjust your outfit and smile confidently.
Auditory (Sound):
Hear the soft rustle of your clothes as you put them on. Maybe you hear your favorite playlist in the background or the sound of your coffee machine beeping in the kitchen. You might even hear a family member call out, “Have a great day at work!”
Kinesthetic (Touch):
Feel the texture of the fabric (maybe it’s a soft silk blouse or a structured blazer) and sense the weight of a watch on your wrist or the smoothness of your dress shoes as you slide them on.
Olfactory (Smell):
Smell your perfume or cologne, fresh laundry, or even your morning coffee brewing nearby. Take a deep breath and enjoy the scent of your start-of-day ritual.
Gustatory (Taste):
Maybe you’re sipping your favorite coffee or taking a bite of toast with jam as you get ready. Let yourself taste it in your imagination as part of your new daily routine.
Scenario 2: You’re Celebrating Your New Job With Family and Friends
Visual (Sight):
Picture a celebration dinner or party. Maybe you’re at a restaurant, in a cozy living room, or hosting a backyard gathering. See the smiling faces of the people you love, decorations, or the cake someone surprised you with.
Auditory (Sound):
Hear the clinking of glasses, people laughing, someone saying, “We’re so proud of you!” or “You deserve this.” Maybe some upbeat music is playing in the background as well.
Kinesthetic (Touch):
Feel a warm hug from your partner or friend. Sense the coolness of a drink in your hand or the texture of a gift bag someone handed you.
Olfactory (Smell):
Smell delicious food cooking or fresh air if you’re outside. Maybe there’s the scent of cake or champagne, or someone’s perfume as they come over to hug you.
Gustatory (Taste):
Taste the celebration meal—something you love. Whether it’s sushi, cake, Korean BBQ, or any of your other favorite foods, taste it..
Scenario 3: You’re Enjoying An Activity That Only Having This Job Would Allow You
For this example, we’ll assume you’ve always wanted to take a trip to a lavish spa, but were never able to afford to—until you got this job. So, you’ve decided to treat yourself to your much-anticipated spa trip!
Visual (Sight):
Imagine the serene, upscale spa surroundings: soft lighting, floor-to-ceiling windows with views of nature, elegant interior design, and a calming water feature in the background. Picture yourself wrapped in a cozy white robe, walking through the quiet spa hallway toward your massage room, or soaking in a jacuzzi while sipping cucumber-infused water.
Auditory (Sound):
Hear the calming ambient music or flowing water sounds. Listen to the gentle voice of the masseuse asking if the pressure feels okay during a massage, or the light bubbling of the jacuzzi. Maybe you hear your own soft exhale as you lean into deep relaxation, letting go of tension that used to weigh you down.
Kinesthetic (Touch):
Feel the warmth of a heated massage table beneath your back. Notice the firm but soothing pressure of a massage or the water sloshing around you in the jacuzzi.
Olfactory (Smell):
Breathe in the subtle aroma of essential oils like lavender, eucalyptus, or sandalwood. Maybe there’s a hint of mint from a face mask.
Gustatory (Taste):
Taste the cucumber water, a herbal tea, or even a light spa snack like honey-covered almonds or dried fruit.
As you can see, your scenario can be anything you’d like it to be as long as it implies that you’ve gotten your desire. It doesn’t need to be “perfect,” it just needs to imply that your wish has been fulfilled.
Something that helped me better understand SATS is understanding that your scene doesn’t have to directly center your desire, either.
For instance, if your desire is to receive $1000 tomorrow, you can visualize waking up to the notification from your bank popping up on your phone, receiving a $1000 check in the mail, or being handed $1000 at random. But you don’t have to.
You can also just visualize having the item you bought with the $1000, envision having a casual conversation with a friend where they ask if you got the money and you say “Oh, yeah! I forgot to tell you, but yes, I got it.” or enjoy a scene with you sitting on the couch and looking stress-free (which implies that you received the extra money).
As long as the scene implies you got your desire, it can be whatever you want it to be.
Remember to keep your SATS scenes short (ten seconds or less, preferably) so you can easily loop them over and over again. The more you replay the same scene, the more familiar it becomes, the easier it impresses your subconscious, and the realer it starts to feel. So, try to stick with the same scene instead of switching them frequently, but of course, you can practice SATS whenever you’d like and with as many scenes as you’d prefer.

Assume / Assumption
To assume something means to accept something as true without needing proof. When you assume something—for example, “I am in a healthy relationship” or “Money flows into my life constantly”— you’re training your subconscious mind to accept this as your reality.
Neville Goddard’s entire philosophy hinges on the idea that assumptions always harden into fact— meaning that what you persist in believing and assuming to be true will eventually manifest in your 3D reality. Especially when the assumption feels natural to you and is repeated consistently until it becomes your dominant belief.
A lot of people overcomplicate or feel intimidated by forming assumptions. If you’re asking, “But how do I form an assumption?” I’ve already answered that question. To assume something means to accept something as true without needing proof. Literally just assume it.
You can decide to assume that tomorrow is going to be a great day for you, assume that you’re going to be offered a free cup of coffee within the next week, or assume that something horrible is going to happen to you within the next month. You don’t need any proof to assume any of that, but if your mind is set on the fact that those things are going to be true for you now, your assumptions will, indeed, manifest into your outer reality.
When you go outside and see clouds swirling around a dark sky, you assume it’s going to rain. When you go to the mall on a Saturday afternoon and see the parking lot looking full, you assume it’s going to be difficult to find a parking spot. When you don’t study for a test on a topic that you’re unfamiliar with, you assume you’re going to fail the test. When you try cooking a new recipe—as someone who’s always trying out new recipes and always failing to follow them correctly—you assume the meal isn’t going to turn out right.
If you’ve ever made an assumption like any one of those examples, I’m sure you realize that nine times out of ten, your assumptions are proven to be correct. That’s not the coincidence you think it is.
You might be thinking, “Well, these are just common-sense observations, and it makes sense to assume these things under these circumstances.”
But the thing is, your assumptions would be completely different if circumstances had previously been different. If every time you walked outside and saw a dark sky filled with clouds, you thought, “It isn’t going to rain,” and it never rained, your assumption going forward would be that a dark sky doesn’t mean it’s going to rain. And you would be proven correct.
It’s the same with the other examples. Under different circumstances, your assumptions would be different, and your assumptions are what create your circumstances, so when you assume differently, you see different results.
Hearing that your assumptions create your circumstances may sound outlandish, but take some time to think about how different people have vastly different experiences when dealing with the same exact circumstances.
I’m sure you’ve heard someone complaining about how they can never, ever seem to find a parking spot when they go to the store. I’m sure you’ve also heard someone bragging about how—no matter when they go to the store, which store they visit, or how busy the store is—they always find a parking spot easily.
I’m sure you’ve heard someone complain that every time they go out, they see somebody they know, and I’m sure you’ve also heard someone say that they never see anyone they know when they go out. You may have heard someone say that all they see are white cars when they’re driving, while someone else says they never see white cars.
These are not coincidences.
These are all assumptions, and these people’s experiences are based on their assumptions. Assume you always find a parking spot and you will be shown that you always find a parking spot. Assume that you never see white cars, and soon enough, you’ll find yourself wondering when the last time you saw a white car was.
Let me give you a few more examples.
Haven’t you ever experienced not feeling like talking to someone? You think to yourself, “I don’t want to talk to them. I hope they don’t text me. Please don’t let them text me; I am not in the mood.” But the whole time, you’re watching your phone screen, waiting for it to light up with a text message notification because even though you don’t feel like talking, you assume they’re going to text you anyway. And what happens? The phone screen lights up, and you groan when you see you’ve received a text message from them.
I’m sure you’ve experienced going to a job interview, answering every question perfectly, feeling like you aced it, and desperately hoping that you got it. You know you did well, you really want the job, you think you’re a perfect fit for the job—but you keep thinking, “What if I don’t get it? I didn’t get it, did I? What if there was someone better? They’re going to give the job to someone else, aren’t they? Getting a job in this job market is so hard; I better hope I got it, but I don’t know…I should start submitting other applications just in case—” and the spiral continues. And what happens after that?
You get an email telling you that you didn’t get the job.
Congratulations; as you can see, now, your assumptions are always right!
The good thing is that now you can choose to assume differently. You can choose to allow your assumptions to benefit you. You can choose to form positive assumptions, knowing that what you assume to be true is always true and that your assumptions are always proven correct.
You don’t need any “proof” before forming an assumption, and your assumptions are what create “proof” in the first place. You didn’t have any proof that you didn’t get that job, but you assumed you didn’t, so you didn’t. You had no proof that you were going to mess up the new recipe you were trying out, but you assumed you would, so guess what? You did.
Assumptions work both ways, thankfully. Just as you can assume negative things will happen and have those assumptions come true, you can also assume that positive things will happen and have your assumptions proven correct, too!
If you wake up tomorrow morning—after decades of financial struggle—and assume things are going to be different for you from now on, then things will absolutely be different. IF you stand firm in that assumption and don’t allow yourself to be swayed from it, no matter what circumstances may come up.
There are tons of people who have practiced the Law of Assumption and experienced positive, life-changing events within the span of a few weeks, a few days, or even overnight. It’s not impossible or even rare for those who practice the law to completely change their lives within a short period of time just by changing their thoughts and assumptions.
But I understand and can relate to how laughable, unbelievable, and unrealistic being told that you can change your whole life—after decades of struggling—just by “Assuming differently” sounds.
You may think it sounds like a load of bull, or that it’s easier said than done, and that’s understandable. But if you’re miserable in your life, what do you have to lose by changing your thoughts and assumptions and exploring how that can change your life?
Living in the End
Living in the end means thinking, feeling, and behaving like the version of you who already has your desire, right now. Instead of hoping, wishing, or waiting for it, you embody the state of the fulfilled version of you—AKA, the state of the wish fulfilled.
For example, if you’re manifesting a loving relationship, you think and feel as if you’re already in one—no checking the 3D, no obsessively searching for signs. You’re not focused on how or when. You’re focused on the reality where it’s already done. That mindset is what helps bridge the gap between imagination and physical reality.
You must think new thoughts to create a new reality. You must act differently if you want to get different results. You must be the person you want to be—who has the things you want to have—in order to be the person you want to be and have the things you want to have.
If someone tells you to figure out which numbers to multiply to get 144, you can multiply 12 x 11 one million times, and you’re going to get 132 all one million of those times. You can multiply 12 x 11 a million more times after that, and guess what? The answer is still never going to change, and it won’t until you decide to finally try multiplying 12 x 12.
You can spend your whole life saying that you want to be wealthy, but guess what?
Someone who’s wealthy thinks, behaves, and functions in an entirely different way than someone who’s poor. If you want to go from poor to wealthy, you need to embody the version of yourself who’s wealthy, because you’re not going to get different results if you continue identifying as the same version of yourself who’s poor.
But how are you supposed to think, speak, or act like someone who’s wealthy or embody the wealthy version of yourself if you’ve never been wealthy before and have spent your whole life living in poverty?
Start by observing yourself. After every word you think or speak, after every action you take, and after every reaction you have, ask yourself if you’re being the wealthy version of yourself or the poor one.
Let’s say that the poor version of you has $0 in their bank account, while the wealthy version of you has $500k. Take a look at the bullet points below, and ask yourself which version of you each of them fits with:
🌟“Everything is so expensive; I can’t afford to even leave my house nowadays!”
🌟“Gas is up by 10 cents per gallon. This is outrageous!”
🌟“I just paid a few bills. It feels good to know every cent I spend comes back to me multiplied.”
🌟“I’m not going to buy myself that two-dollar coffee. Money doesn’t grow on trees, so I should clutch every penny I have tightly and save it for hard times.”
🌟“Money is everywhere. If I wanted to organize every way there is to make money into one big list, I’d have to spend a whole lifetime working on it!”
🌟“I just received an unexpected bill…Well, I assume it’ll work itself out. I always have more than enough money to handle my expenses, so this time will be no different.”
There’s a clear difference.
I’m not saying it’s easy to make a huge shift and suddenly start thinking, speaking, and acting like someone who’s wealthy when your life’s experiences have been the complete opposite up to this point (although that shift can be easy if you assume it will be), but I am saying that making that shift is possible and necessary.
When you want to manifest anything, you need to become the person who already has it. Think the thoughts they would think, speak the words they would speak, take the actions they would take—if you want to. Many people argue that you don’t need to take action to manifest your desires. Of course, it depends on your assumptions. If you assume you need to take action to manifest, you need to take action to manifest. If you don’t, you don’t.—Ask yourself what beliefs and assumptions the version of you who has your desires has, what patterns and behaviors do they have, what is their mindset like, what are their daily habits like, how do they walk, how do they respond to unfavorable circumstances—truly become them.
Commit yourself to being the person who has your desires, and living in the end, as the version of you who already has them. And watch how your reality changes when you do this.

State (of the Wish Fulfilled)
Existing in the state of the wish fulfilled and living in the end essentially mean the same thing.
The state of the wish fulfilled is the mental, emotional, and energetic state you would naturally be in if your desire were already true. It’s about embodying the identity and feeling of the person who already has what they wanted.
Neville Goddard taught that we are always moving through states, and whichever state we dwell in consistently will determine the reality we experience. If you’re manifesting success, you should live in the mindset of someone who already feels successful. That state then becomes your dominant one and your outer reality shifts to match it.
If you’re constantly dwelling in an unsuccessful state, you will not experience success, but instead, you will continue to see evidence that supports the fact that you are “unsuccessful.”
Change your state by changing your thoughts, assumptions, behaviors, etc. Become the version of you that has your desires and remain in that person’s state of being—or at least make sure to return to that person’s state of being again and again, no matter what circumstances or doubts pop up and get you out of it.
How to return to the state?
Say you want to manifest a successful business, so you decide you are a successful business owner, you are identifying as a successful individual, behaving as that person would behave, and existing in that person’s state. But over the course of a few days, you receive no sales, your business gets temporarily shut down, and you get bad reviews instead of good ones.
You keep returning to the state by refusing to let these circumstances move you, assuming they will straighten themselves out (as they always do), and standing firm in your assumption that you are now a successful business owner. You return to the state by observing these circumstances and—though you’re a human being and thus may cry, get angry, feel disappointed, etc.—repeating, “I am a successful businessowner,” and continuing to think from that person’s perspective and behave the way they do.
Continuously returning to the state of the wish fulfilled, no matter what, is the same as persisting, and it’s what leads to your manifestations materializing.
When you don’t return to the state of the wish fulfilled, you’re essentially letting circumstances (which we learned to think of as illusions)—that would have corrected themselves if you’d just persisted—scare you into returning to your old self and old state of mind instead of going down the better path you were forging for yourself by assuming differently.
Not returning to the state looks like:
🌟Seeing that you got no sales, and assuming it means you’re a failure.
🌟Seeing your business getting shut down as a sign that you should give up
🌟Seeing the bad reviews and assuming that you’re not meant to be a successful business owner after all
Fun Fact: Nobody who’s ever achieved success in any way, shape, or form achieved it by giving up. 🤠 Every successful person you see—whether they’re a CEO, actress, singer, athlete, or anything else—is someone who persisted through unfavorable circumstances and continued picking themselves back up after falling down, again and again, until they achieved the success they’d envisioned.
AKA, they continued returning to the state of the wish fulfilled and didn’t allow unfavorable circumstances to (permanently) bully them out of it.
Impress the Subconscious
To impress the subconscious means to plant new beliefs, assumptions, or truths into your subconscious mind so that they become part of your dominant identity. Why? Because your subconscious mind controls the majority of your thoughts, reactions, and actions—and it accepts repeated thoughts as truth.
You can impress the subconscious by:
🌟Repeating affirmations
🌟Visualizing in SATS
🌟Listening to subliminals
🌟Using emotion and repetition
🌟Persisting in a new story even when the 3D contradicts it
Once something is impressed into the subconscious, it becomes automatic—which is why you might suddenly feel more confident, take bolder actions, or notice new circumstances showing up that reflect your desire.
Mental Diet
Your mental diet refers to the thoughts you consistently feed your mind, both about yourself and your desires. Just like with physical health, consuming junk (aka negative self-talk, doubt, or fear) leads to poor results, while consuming healthy nutrients (AKA supportive, empowering thoughts) strengthens your beliefs and speeds up manifestation.
Maintaining a healthy mental diet includes:
🌟Not spiraling after every unfavorable 3D circumstance.
🌟Replacing unwanted thoughts with positive ones.
🌟Persisting in your new assumptions, no matter what.
Having a good mental diet is not about never thinking a negative thought; It’s about how you deal with them.
Having a good mental diet means not allowing yourself to spiral down the rabbit hole of negative, self-depreciating, unproductive thoughts, wallow in self-pity or self-hatred, or allow doubts and fears to get the best of you.
The key to maintaining a good mental diet is learning to observe rather than absorb circumstances, and to respond to situations rather than react to them.
Many of us assign meaning where it isn’t needed—because the human brain wants to make sense of everything and give reason to everything—which is what I mean by observing vs absorbing.
For instance, if you have a date with someone you like and they cancel on you, you may take it as a personal attack and decide that it means they don’t like you—even if they’ve told you they do, and explained that there’s a valid reason behind them needing to cancel the date. You may not listen to their explanation and still decide that the date’s cancellation means something about you—like that you’re undesirable, you have bad luck with dating, or that you always end up with flaky men. When really, you could have just observed the situation, understood it wasn’t a personal attack on you, and come out of the situation disappointed but unscathed instead.
What I mean by responding vs reacting is this:
You react to your date being canceled by crying, blocking your date’s number permanently, thinking bitter thoughts about how dating never works out for you, and thinking negative thoughts about yourself and how undesirable you are. You’re in a bad mood for the next few days because of this, spiraling further and further each day. Maybe you swear off dating or do some serious damage to your self-concept by continuing to assume you were canceled on because you’re undesirable.
That is a reaction.
A response would have been you taking the time to feel what you felt—and yes, still crying over it—but firmly refusing to allow your thoughts to become overly negative and instead deciding to focus on something else or say positive affirmations instead. Maybe your response would include taking a few minutes to meditate, do breathwork, do EFT tapping, or ground yourself using some other technique before thinking about the situation anymore. Maybe you would repeat affirmations, journal about your feelings, or lift your mood with your favorite playlist or comfort TV show before addressing the situation.
Having your date canceled would suck either way, and you can’t be positive all the time, but you also can’t allow your negative thoughts and emotions to totally consume you. There are healthier ways to deal with them instead of just succumbing to them and spiraling because of them.
When you become more observant and more responsive instead of absorbent and reactive, you will notice a big difference.
Revise / Revision
Revision is the practice of mentally rewriting a past event as you would have preferred it to go, in order to shift the meaning and assumptions you’ve attached to it. This is a powerful technique for clearing trauma, changing limiting beliefs, and rewriting your internal narrative.
For example, if someone rejected you and you internalized it as “I’m not good enough,” you can revise that moment to imagine them complimenting you, or picture a completely different outcome.
As you consistently revise the past, your subconscious accepts the new version—and you change not just your self-concept, but the circumstances that follow.
The idea is that if you change how you internally remember or perceive the past, you can alter your present and future—or at least your beliefs and assumptions, which can change future outcomes.
Bridge of Events / Bridge of Incidents
Finally, the Bridge of Events (also called the Bridge of Incidents) refers to the chain of natural, seemingly unrelated events that occur in your reality to bring your manifestation into physical form.
In other words, the bridge of incidents is everything that unfolds between the moment you decide you have your desire and the moment you see that desire materialize in your outer reality.
Once you’ve assumed your desire is done, reality begins to reorganize itself to fulfill that assumption—even if it doesn’t look like it at first—and these events may feel random or even unwanted at times, but they’re part of the unfolding of your desire. Your job is not to micromanage how your manifestation will happen, but your job is to stay faithful to the end result and let the bridge unfold.
Many people worry about the bridge of incidents, how long it will take for their desires to unfold, and whether everything will come “crumbling down” before they see their desires in the 3D (In other words, they worry they’ll have to experience the storm before the calm).
The bridge of incidents doesn’t have to take a long time or be something complicated. For example, say you’ve decided you want to go to the store and buy some bread. The bread is your desire, and you’ve essentially decided you already have it (because you know you’re going to get it).
You getting dressed, getting in the car, driving to the store, and walking to the bread aisle are all part of the bridge of incidents. Those are the things that had to happen in between you deciding you wanted the bread and you getting the bread in the 3D.
This bridge of incidents wasn’t complicated; nothing bad had to happen during it for the sake of your manifestation materializing, and it didn’t have to take a long time (let’s say you live ten minutes away from the store).
It’s the same for any other manifestation.
Many people have a very strong belief that your old life has to fall apart in order to make space for the new one to thrive, or that you (and your persistence) will have to be tested before your manifestation materializes. This has been the case for a lot of people and there’s no use invalidating their experiences, but you do not have to go through anything like that just to receive your desires. At the end of the day, it’s all about you and your assumptions.
If you assume you have to go through something difficult, have your life fall apart, or be tested in order for your manifestations to materialize, that’s going to be true for you. If not, it won’t be.
The bridge of incidents doesn’t have to be long, drawn out, complicated, disruptive, or painful in any way, no matter what your desire is. It can be quick, easy, and simple.
Frankly, people mess themselves up by concerning themselves too much with the bridge of incidents in the first place. You’re supposed to be being the person who already has their desires. The person who already has their desires isn’t concerned with the bridge of events that had to occur in order for them to receive them.
Even in the bread example—you knew you had the bread because you wanted the bread and you just knew you were going to have it. You didn’t worry yourself to death over how or when it was going to happen. You were more focused on the fact that you had it—and probably already figuring out which ingredients to use for the sandwich you wanted to make with it.

Final Thoughts
We covered a lot in this article, and I hope it’s helped you feel more confident in your knowledge of manifestation lingo!
Manifestation can seem intimidating at first. For some, it’s a whole new world, a whole new way of thinking, and a whole new belief system. Some may struggle to believe that manifestation is real, while others may 100% believe in it but still struggle with believing that they are capable of it. And it doesn’t help when you feel overwhelmed, lost, and caught up by even the most minor details, such as what certain terms even mean.
I hope this article has provided at least a little clarity for you, if that’s the case. Feel free to ask any questions you may have in the comments below, and let me know if there are any other terms or concepts you’d like explained!

FAQ
What does it mean to “manifest” something?
Manifesting means bringing a desire or goal into your physical reality by changing your thoughts, beliefs, identity, and assumptions.
What’s the difference between the 3D and 4D?
The 3D is your current physical reality. The 4D is your inner world—your imagination, beliefs, and assumptions. The 4D creates the 3D.
How are the Law of Assumption and Law of Attraction different?
The Law of Assumption is about what you assume to be true becoming your reality. The Law of Attraction focuses on attracting what matches your energy or vibration.
What does it mean to “live in the end”?
Living in the end means thinking, feeling, and acting as if your desire has already happened, instead of waiting for it.
What is a mental diet, and how do I manage it?
A mental diet is being mindful of your thoughts and refusing to dwell on ideas that contradict your desired reality. Keep a good mental diet by practicing regulation and grounding techniques and refusing to spiral down a path of negative thoughts.
What does it mean to impress the subconscious?
It means feeding your subconscious mind repeated thoughts, scenes, or affirmations until it believes them as facts.
Can I use these concepts for anything I want to manifest?
Yes! These principles work for love, money, health, self-concept, career, and more.
What’s the difference between an assumption and an affirmation?
An assumption is a belief you hold to be true. An affirmation is a tool you use to build that belief.
I’m new to this—what’s the best place to start?
Start by observing yourself and understanding your current beliefs, then think about your desires and figure out who the person who has them is. What does that person think of themselves, the world, their desires, etc? How does that person act and function? What are the key differences between that person and you? Finally, how can you become that person?
When becoming that person, it’s often easiest to start by thinking like them, so use affirmations and think from their perspective.

What if Nothing is Showing Up Yet, Even Though I’ve Been Manifesting for a Long Time?
If you’re asking this question, I can tell you exactly why it isn’t showing up: You’re not being the person who already has it. The version of you who already has it isn’t asking where it is. That person is busy enjoying it, living with it, knowing that it’s theirs.
Do you go to a drive-in, order food, pay for it, pull up to the window, and then start crying, second-guessing whether or not you’ll actually receive it, frantically looking around, and asking where the food is when you don’t see it within two seconds?
I really hope not.
You know you have the food, and you’re confident in the fact that you have the food because you literally just know that you have it. And you knew you had it the second you placed your order and paid for it, so you weren’t crying and looking around for it before it was handed to you.
Instead, you were chilling in the car, listening to music, scrolling through your phone, or talking to your family and friends while your food was being prepared. You could probably already taste it, and I’m sure you were already planning what to watch while you ate it, or even what to do after you did.
Stop frantically looking around, trying to figure out where your desire is, “if” you’re going to get it, and when. Understand that you already have it, enjoy living as the person who already has it, and have fun planning what you’re going to do now that you have it.
