When you discover manifestation and begin joining Law of Assumption spaces, you’ll hear lots of LOASS lingo that might leave you feeling lost and confused at first. Some of the most important phrases you’ll hear are: “Live in the end,” “Live in the state of the wish fulfilled,” “Embody the version of you who already has it,” “Understand that it’s already done,” and “Just be the person who already has it.”
When people tell you to do these things, they’re essentially telling you to do the same thing in different fonts. These phrases all mean essentially the same thing, and the reason you hear them so commonly is because, in the Law of Assumption, in order to manifest your desires, you must understand that your assumptions are what manifest.
When you truly assume you are already the person who has their desires, you’ll see how fast the things you want will manifest. But the person who has your desires is, in most cases, a totally different person from the one who does not.
To bridge the (illusory) gap between you and your desire, you want to go from being the version of you who doesn’t have it to the version of you who does. This is how you can successfully manifest the things you want.
But you may feel confused or frustrated upon hearing that. How can you become the person who has it when the 3D is showing you that you don’t have it, and you appear to be nowhere close to it? When your circumstances have always been the exact opposite of what you want, and your desire feels so far away, if not totally impossible to obtain?
You may have heard the advice that you should think, speak, and act as the version of you who already has it to bridge the “gap,” but still, you don’t know how.
If that sounds like you, keep reading to find out how you can be the person who already has it!
What Does “Be the Person Who Has It” Mean?
Being the person who “has it” means you fully embody the version of yourself that already has your desire. You think their thoughts, feel their feelings, and take on their mindset. You essentially drop the old self—AKA, the version of you who you’ve always been. The one who doesn’t have your desires—and become the new self, seeing things from their point of view.
This concept is deeply tied to the Law of Assumption, as taught by Neville Goddard. According to Neville, what you assume to be true becomes your reality. So, if you assume the identity of someone who already has the money, love, health, or success you want, then your outer world must conform.
Why Identity Is the Root of Manifestation
Everything flows from identity. Your beliefs, assumptions, reactions, and decisions all stem from who you think you are. If you’re still identifying with the version of you that wants, needs, lacks, or feels desperate for something, your outer world will reflect your assumptions back to you. You assume you don’t have your desire, so you’re shown that you do not have your desire, and given more circumstances that make it appear to be far away. In other words, you’re stuck chasing it, wishing and hoping for it instead of actually having it.
When you shift into the version that already has it, that changes. When you assume you have it, your outer world will reflect your assumption back to you. Desire is fulfilled the moment it is assumed. You don’t have to wait—The moment you mentally claim it, the world begins reconfiguring to match.
But Why?
In How to Affirm: Different Types of Affirmations That Actually Work, we took an in-depth look at several scientific explanations for why this is the case, and in Common Manifestation Terms You Should Know When Manifesting Your Desires—in the “Assume / Assumption” portion—we covered some detailed examples of how people’s assumptions impact their realities, so I’ll keep the explanation brief here.
Just know that in the Law of Assumption, your beliefs and assumptions are thought to shape your reality. Neville Goddard’s entire philosophy hinges on the idea that assumptions always harden into fact— meaning that what you persist in believing and assuming to be true will eventually manifest in your 3D reality. Especially when the assumption feels natural to you and is repeated consistently until it becomes your dominant belief.
The science behind this is being explored more and more as life goes on, and we’re slowly gaining a better understanding of why this is the case. My two favorite LOASS supporters are the RAS and neuroplasticity.
The Reticular Activating System (RAS) is a bundle of nerves at the base of your brain that acts like a filter for the information you receive. The RAS takes in information that supports your beliefs and filters out everything else. So, when you change your assumptions and beliefs, you see new results.
Neuroplasticity is the brain’s ability to change and adapt over time. It’s why repetition and saturation are so important when you’re manifesting your desires.
What is Saturating in Manifestation? How to Use Saturation to Manifest
What it Means to Live in the End, AKA The State of the Wish Fulfilled
Living in the end means thinking and operating from the reality where your desire is already yours. You don’t imagine it happening in the future. Instead, you live as though it’s a present fact.
This is what Neville called the State of the Wish Fulfilled. You saturate your mind with the feeling of “it’s already done.” This doesn’t mean you ignore reality; it means you interpret everything from the new state.
Your 3D world may “lag” behind, but internally, you’ve already moved. And that inner shift is what manifests the outer change.
Existing in the state of the wish fulfilled and living in the end essentially mean the same thing.
The state of the wish fulfilled is the mental, emotional, and energetic state you would naturally be in if your desire were already true. It’s about embodying the identity and feeling of the person who already has what they wanted.
How to Shift Into the Version of You Who Has It & Live in the End
People panic when they hear that they should “be” the person who already has it or “live in the end” because they have no clue where to start or how.
It’s simple. Think the thoughts they would think, speak the words they would speak, take the actions they would take—if you want to. Many people argue that you don’t need to take action to manifest your desires. Of course, it depends on your assumptions.—Ask yourself what beliefs and assumptions the version of you who has your desires has, what habits, patterns, and behaviors they have, what their mindset is like, what their daily habits are like, how they walk, how they respond to unfavorable circumstances—truly become them.
I would say one of the easiest and most important things to do is learn to think as and think from that version of you who already has it—and there is a big difference between the two, as we learned in Manifestation 101: Thinking as VS Thinking From – There’s A Difference
When you are looking to transform your identity, it’s essential to get clear on who you’ve been being, who you are right now, and who you want to be. This way, there’s a clear distinction, and you can stay on track instead of reverting to the old self constantly.

How to Shift Part 2
To live in the end, you want to make sure you’re viewing life through the lens of the person who has your desire. That means thinking from their perspective and doing the things they’d do.
For example, if your desire is to be wealthy, you could ask yourself, “What does the wealthy version of me spend their time doing?” Then do those things. And no, this doesn’t have to involve spending money you don’t have. It can look like:
🌟The wealthy version of you can afford their dream home, so they spend their time browsing for furniture, researching moving companies, trying out paint samples, watching home decor videos, learning about construction, browsing for housewarming invitations, and more.
🌟The wealthy version of you can afford designer clothes, so they spend much of their time browsing for high-quality designer items, researching designers, reading about the best recently released designer items, etc.
🌟The wealthy version of you can afford to visit the spa whenever they want, so they spend time looking into various spa treatments, deciding which ones they want, planning weekend getaways to the spa, finding the best spas nearby, or making plans to travel out of state just to visit the perfect spa (because they can, so why not?)
The list goes on and on. Start doing the things the wealthy version of you would be doing right now.
Many people enjoy doing things like scripting, visualizing, having inner conversations, and so on. These are ways to saturate your mind with the belief that your desire is already yours, and they can help you become the version of yourself who already has it by assisting you in thinking as and from them, plus allowing you to do the things that person does.
A lot of people do struggle with not knowing how to saturate, what methods to use, not being able to come up with prompts, etc. They just overall feel lost and overwhelmed when it comes to trying to do these things. If you feel the same way, here are some resources for you:

Take your time exploring different tools and methods, and remember that they are only there to assist you, but they don’t manifest for you. You do.
How to Know When You’re Not Living In the End Or Being the Person Who Has It
When you’re truly living in the end and fully embodying the version of yourself who already has your desire, there’s often a sense of calm certainty that settles in. You don’t question the outcome, and your energy reflects someone who knows it’s done.
However, a lot of times, we tend to think we’re keeping a good mental diet, living in the end, and showing up as the person who has it, only to later realize upon looking back on it that we were not. Here’s how to know when you’re not actually living in the end or showing up as the person who has it.
You Keep Checking the 3D for Proof
One of the most obvious signs that you’re not really living in the end is when you’re constantly scanning your physical reality for confirmation. Whether it’s refreshing your inbox, obsessively checking someone’s social media, or watching your bank account, this habit signals that you don’t believe it’s already yours.
When you’re being the version of you who has it, you’re too busy enjoying it and living it out internally to care if the 3D has caught up yet. That version of you doesn’t need proof because they know they are the proof.
You Feel Like Something Is Missing & You’re Trying to Figure Out What You’re Doing “Wrong”
If there’s a lingering feeling of “lack” or like something important is still out of reach, it means you’re identifying with not having it. If you’re doing a million different methods—not because you enjoy them and have fun doing them, but because you think you need to do something differently or do more to “finally make it happen,” you are not being the person who has it.
If you’re asking yourself why it hasn’t shown up yet, when is it happening, what are you doing wrong—you’re not living in the end. If you’re saying, “But it’s been weeks. It’s been months. Why don’t I have it yet?” you’re not the person who has it.
You are, instead, the person who is affirming and assuming you do not have it, it’s taking a long time, and that you’re doing something wrong. If you needed any proof that manifestation actually works, congratulations; you have it. What you’re assuming to be true is being reflected in your reality. You assume you can’t manifest something or don’t have it yet, and you’re being shown exactly that.
When you’re truly embodying the desired state, you stop needing, chasing, or yearning. You start being. If you’re still feeling the absence, it’s a cue to delve into the assumption that it’s already done.
You’re Not Thinking From
Many of us have mastered thinking as, but totally forget about thinking from, and then we wonder why it seems like we can’t manifest anything. Sorry to plug this article yet again, but I truly do think it’s extremely important to understand the difference between the two and make sure you’re doing both.
Whatever you assume to be true is true, so of course, you create your own assumptions, and you don’t have to take on mine. But it is my assumption that you can’t see many results when you’re just thinking as the version of yourself who already has it, but not from them.
You are not really living in the end when you’re not thinking from that person’s perspective.

How to Persist & Continue Returning to the State of the Wish Fulfilled
Finally, let’s discuss what it means to persist and how we can continue to do it in the face of unfavorable, triggering circumstances.
Persisting means to “continue firmly or obstinately in an opinion or a course of action in spite of difficulty, opposition, or failure.” In simpler terms, it means to just keep going, no matter what.
Example of persisting:
If your biggest goal and dream is to have your own place to live, believe wholeheartedly that you already have it and that it has already happened for you. If the 3D shows you are not hearing back after submitting applications for apartments, getting rejected for mortgage loans, or not having enough money to move out, simply shake your head and say, “That’s not true. I’ve already manifested my own place. I already have it.” And if 20 more unfavorable circumstances show up in the 3D to convince you that you don’t have your own place, I don’t care. Repeat, “I’ve already manifested my own place. I already have it.”
This is persistence.
To persist is to return to the state of the wish fulfilled over and over again, no matter what. To persist is to stand firm in your assumption and not allow yourself to be swayed from it, no matter what.
If you assume you already have your own place, it doesn’t matter if fifty circumstances that show otherwise pop up. Continue assuming you have your own place.
Here’s another example.
Say you want to manifest a successful business, so you decide you are a successful business owner, you are identifying as a successful individual, behaving as that person would behave, and existing in that person’s state. But over the course of a few days, you receive no sales, your business gets temporarily shut down, and you get bad reviews instead of good ones.
You persist and keep returning to the state of the wish fulfilled by refusing to let these circumstances move you, assuming they will straighten themselves out (as they always do), and standing firm in your assumption that you are now a successful business owner.
You return to the state by observing these circumstances and—though you’re a human being and thus may cry, get angry, feel disappointed, etc.—repeating, “I am a successful business owner,” and continuing to think from that person’s perspective and behave the way they do.
Continuously returning to the state of the wish fulfilled no matter what is the same as persisting, and it’s what leads to your manifestations materializing.
But exactly how can you persist when circumstances trigger you?
🌟Acknowledge the circumstances
🌟Accept the circumstances
🌟Regulate yourself
🌟Respond instead of reacting
We discuss acknowledging and accepting in detail in the “Acknowledge, Accept, Decide, and Repeat” section of Manifestation 101: Thinking as VS Thinking From – There’s A Difference

Final Thoughts
Being the person who already has it isn’t as difficult as you may think! The more you practice thinking, speaking, and acting as that person, the easier it becomes. I hope this article helped you understand what being that version of yourself means and how you can do it.

FAQ
What if I feel fake or delusional trying to “be” someone I’m not yet?
That’s normal at first. Over time, it becomes more natural.
Can I live in the end even if my current reality contradicts it?
Yes. In fact, that’s the whole point. Living in the end isn’t about denying reality; it’s about choosing which reality you want to give power to. The 3D is always catching up.
What if I don’t know what the version of me who has it is like?
Start small: imagine how they’d feel, speak, or carry themselves. Journal from their perspective. Build the identity gradually. You can observe people who already have what you want, too!
What if Nothing is Showing Up Yet, Even Though I’ve Been Thinking As and From for a Long Time?
If you’re asking this question, I can tell you exactly why it isn’t showing up: You’re not being the person who already has it. The version of you who already has it isn’t asking where it is. That person is busy enjoying it, living with it, knowing that it’s theirs.
Do you go to a drive-in, order food, pay for it, pull up to the window, and then start crying, second-guessing whether or not you’ll actually receive it, frantically looking around, and asking where the food is when you don’t see it within two seconds?
I really hope not.
You know you have the food, and you’re confident in the fact that you have the food because you literally just know that you have it. And you knew you had it the second you placed your order and paid for it, so you weren’t crying and looking around for it before it was handed to you.
Instead, you were chilling in the car, listening to music, scrolling through your phone, or talking to your family and friends while your food was being prepared. You could probably already taste it, and I’m sure you were already planning what to watch while you ate it, or even what to do after you did.
Stop frantically looking around, trying to figure out where your desire is, “if” you’re going to get it, and when. Understand that you already have it, enjoy living as the person who already has it, and have fun planning what you’re going to do now that you have it.
