With the current state of the world, every day feels like a step closer to the end of times, so naturally, I’ve been going down the nostalgia rabbit hole to cope. Numuki Browser and Flashpoint are holding me together by a thread, truly.
If you’re in a similar predicament or just enjoy rediscovering old games from your childhood, hopefully, this article helps you unlock some core memories and find the games that kept you entertained as a kid!
Keep reading to find 90+ Flash games that will allow you to relive the good ole days!
What Are Flash Games?
Flash games are browser-based games that were built with Adobe Flash, which was popular from the 1990s through the 2010s. Flash games were usually free-to-play games that could be loaded directly in your browser and were most often hosted on gaming sites that hosted games in bulk. (Think Agame, GirlsGoGames, Miniclip, Armor Games, etc.)
There was a wide variety of Flash games available—from dress-up and makeover games to tower defense and puzzle games to cooking and sports games. You name it, there was a Flash game for it. There were even a lot of celebrity-themed Flash games where you could give your favorite Disney stars room makeovers or bash reality TV stars in games like Celebrity Fight Club.
Unfortunately, in 2020, Adobe discontinued Flash due to security concerns and updated technologies that could provide a better player experience. Now, most browsers do not support Flash content directly.
As we all know, 2020 was…Certainly a year…And for most of us, it was not a fun time. But do you ever stop to think about why? Notice how everything went to crap once Flash games were removed?
No, I’m joking, but seriously, this was a huge loss that I still think about a lot to this day. Yes, of course, it’s still possible to play Flash games today thanks to preservation efforts from resources like the Internet Archive and Flashpoint Archive, but I do miss the days of being able to browse the internet for new Flash games to play, and I wonder what kinds of fun, new games we’d have if they were still being made today.
Plus, it’s not like the internet was ever a safe place for kids, but at least back in the early 2000s, there was more of an effort to give kids and teens their own corner of the internet to enjoy, so they weren’t constantly exposed to or involved in adult conversations and other 18+ shenanigans. Flash games are just one of many examples of that effort—though a lot of them could be less than PG, too.
Long story short, if you talk to anyone who grew up in the early 2000s, they’ll probably tell you it was one of the best eras to be a kid during, and Flash games are a big part of the reason why. We all have our favorite memories of sitting in the computer room—I miss those, too—and playing colorful, entertaining, low-effort games for as long as our parents would allow! If I could turn back time and experience it again, I definitely would.
But with that being said, I’m extremely grateful for the fact that I can go back and play my old favorites at any time now! And if you’d like to revisit the classics yourself, keep reading to find out how you can do that!
Where Can You Still Play Flash Games Today?
Thankfully, Flash games didn’t die when Adobe Flash did! There are still ways to access your favorite Flash games, even today. While there are tons of Flash preservation websites, I’ll just tell you about the three I use to enjoy my favorite old games.
Internet Archive (Flash Library)
Of course, the Internet Archive is the best source for finding anything, old or new! Flash games are no different. You can play Flash games directly in-browser in most cases when you search for them using the Wayback Machine.
I personally mostly enjoy playing old Agame games using this method!
Flashpoint Archive
Flashpoint Archive is described as “a community effort to preserve games and animations from the web.” They’ve managed to preserve over 200,000 Flash games since December of 2017, so if there’s one that you want to find, odds are, you’ll be able to find it here!
Numuki Browser
Finally, Numuki Browser is one of my favorites! The site is cute and hosts a lot of old dress-up, makeover, and Disney games, but it offers a lot more, too.
They also offer newer games, so it’s a great website for the kids of today to find relevant games as well.
90+ Flash Games to Relive the Good Ole Days!
Now that we know what Flash games are and where you can find and play them, even today, let’s take a look at some of my favorite Flash games! Hopefully, you’ll rediscover some of your old faves or even find some that you never played before but would like to!
Bratz Games
We have to start with the iconic Bratz because the core four are the source of 90% of my nostalgia! I loved the Bratz when I was growing up, and I fear I love them even more now. (Hence why I wrote Starrin’ And Stylin’: How to Accessorize Like a Bratz Doll!)
While the Bratz had a ton of web shows, movies, music, and games, there’s nothing I love more than the 2005 Bratz TV series and these two games!
Bratz Model Makeover
This is a fashion makeover game where you style the Bratz girls for a magazine cover shoot. You choose one of the Bratz (Yasmin, Cloe, Jade, or Sasha) and give her a top-to-bottom makeover!
After glamming up your model, you get to select a magazine cover background and see your Bratz girl posed as the cover star of Bratz Magazine.
Bratz Fashion Designer
This game lets you step into the role of a Bratz fashion designer and feels like a dream come true for any Bratz fan who has ever wanted to design their own clothes!
You start by picking clothing pieces, and then you can customize them with fabrics, colors, and patterns. You can do things like choosing a fabric, cutting and sewing it in a mini-game, and then adding decals and trims to it.
Once you’ve designed a piece or a complete outfit, you can try it on the Bratz girls and watch them model your custom creation!
Polly Pocket Games
Polly Pocket was popular during the 1990s, which was before my time, and never reached the same height of popularity as Barbie or The Bratz, but if you ask me, Polly Pocket was that girl! Although Polly Pocket was discontinued in the US in 2012 and then worldwide in 2015, I have fond memories of playing a few Polly Pocket games throughout my childhood! My favorites were:
Polly Party Pickup
When I’m feeling super nostalgic, Polly Party Pickup is one of the first games I pick up!
It’s a classic driving scavenger hunt where you have to help Polly pick up her friends for her big birthday party. You drive Polly’s little pink car around Pollyville, racing the clock to collect friends Lila, Shani, Lea, and Todd before time runs out.
Each friend is bringing something important to the party (like balloons, presents, games, and even the cake), so you must get them all to the mall in time, but you have to navigate a road with mud puddles, oil slicks, and tire spike strips, which makes it more difficult.
The game is super cute and brings back great memories, so 10/10 recommend!
Polly’s Rockstar Makeover
This is a dress-up game where you style Polly and her bandmates for their rock concert!
You get to scroll through a closet full of rockstar fashion—such as flashy tops, funky bottoms, and fun hairstyles—to pick the perfect outfit. Then, you get to choose the stage backdrop and watch Polly and the crew perform an animated concert in the outfit you created.
It’s adorable!
Polly’s Drive N Style
This is a unique combo of driving game and dress-up challenge!
Polly and her friends, Shani and Lila, are late for an event at PollyWorld, so they’re finishing getting dressed in the limo. You pick a character, then as the limo drives, you steer left/right to collect clothing items on the road.
You only have a short time to grab a full outfit, and when the limo arrives, any items you caught become the outfit your character wears!
Holly Hobbie Games
And they were sisters!
Or so I thought.
I always thought Polly Pocket and Holly Hobbie were related, but I just figured out (as I was writing this article) that they are, indeed, not. Regardless, Polly Pocket is still my favorite “sister,” but I adore Holly Hobbie just as well! Here are, in my opinion, a few of her best games!
Holly Hobbie: The Hey Girls Muffin Maker
I was obsessed with this game as a little girl!
It’s a super cute assembly-line baking game where Holly and friends bake muffins at Aunt Jessie’s café. The muffins move on a conveyor belt, and you have three stations. Station one, where Holly pours frosting, station two, where Amy adds sprinkles, and station three, where Carrie tops it with berries.
The “challenge” is that you have to click each topping at just the right time as the muffin passes by. The pace speeds up each round, which adds to the difficulty. Complete all rounds and you earn real-life muffin recipes from Aunt Jessie’s cookbook, which the game lets you print.
I was a big fan of games like this, especially since they reminded me of Drake and Josh’s Sushi conveyor belt chaos! (Which, side note, I’m outraged wasn’t made into a game itself!)
Holly Hobbie: Lemonade Stand
This one is a multi-part game where Holly and her friends run their own summer lemonade stand!
First, you have to move a basket to catch falling lemons and strawberries from a tree. This is a timed game and you must collect a certain number of lemons to unlock decorations for your stand.
Next, you fill cups on a conveyor by clicking pitchers of lemon or strawberry lemonade while timing it just right to avoid overflow.
Finally, you drag and deliver the cups to thirsty customers on the lawn, while avoiding obstacles like the family dog and little brother (they’ll make you spill!).
Holly Hobbie: Pack-A-Picnic
In this simple but fun catch-and-collect game, Holly is packing a picnic basket, and tasty treats start dropping from a tree. You move a basket with your mouse and have to click to catch items once the basket is under them.
If you don’t click in time, the food falls through, and there’s a time limit, so you must scramble to grab as much picnic food as possible.
Holly Hobbie: Holly’s Water Balloon Blast
This was one of my favorite games to play during early 2000s summers because you get to have a backyard water balloon fight in game form!
You play as Holly, tossing water balloons at her little brother and his buddy. They keep popping up from behind bushes and fences, and you move left/right aiming your throw, then click to launch a balloon right when they peek out.
Holly Hobbie: Surprise Party
This is a mini adventure game where you have to help Holly throw a surprise birthday party for Aunt Jessie. Gameplay involves racing around town—guiding Holly on her bike—to collect everything needed for the party.
First, you gather apples and rush them to the bakery for Jessie’s favorite pie. Then pick up all the party invitations and drop them at the post office. And so on! You also have to be sure to dodge Holly’s brother and dog along the way because bumping into them will slow you down.
I always found games like this to be an enjoyable rush! It’s similar to Zack and Cody’s Pizza Party Pickup and Hope’s Babysitting Maze, which are also games that I loved!
Holly Hobbie: Dream N Style Dollhouse
Finally, there’s Dream N Style Dollhouse, which is an imaginative decorating game where you design every room in Holly Hobbie’s dollhouse!
You start with an empty dollhouse that has four rooms to fill, and you get to decide where to place the furniture and characters in each room. It’s your standard home decor game where you get to enjoy picking wallpaper, carpet, and furniture!
Monster High Games
Monster High was probably my second favorite franchise, behind the Bratz. It’s hard to believe it was only launched in 2010 because I consider it to be one of the most iconic franchises to date! Back in the day, I spent hours upon hours watching the original Monster High series, which aired from 2010 to 2017, and playing the numerous games created alongside the series! My favorites to this day are:
Monster High: Dawn of the Dance
This is one of the many dance routine creation games that I loved as a child!
You choose Cleo, Frankie, or Clawdeen and then sequence together their dance moves to choreograph a killer routine to the “Fright Song.”
Each character has unique moves reflecting their personality, and once you’ve selected all the moves, you can watch your character perform the full routine on the Monster High dance floor!
Monster High: CasketBall Queen
This is a fast-paced sports game where Cleo de Nile fills in for Deuce Gorgon in a Monster High basketball showdown.
You mash the left and right arrow keys to build Cleo’s running speed toward the hoop, then hit spacebar at the perfect moment to make her leap for a dunk.
Once she’s airborne, you steer her in mid-air to collect shiny gems and stars for points before she dunks the ball.
Monster High: Pom Pom Panic
Perhaps my favorite Monster High game of them all! In Pom Pom Panic, Frankie Stein tries out for the Monster High Fearleading squad.
This game plays like a sort of cheerleading Dance Dance Revolution, and arrows light up on screen in time with the music, so you press the corresponding keys when it’s Frankie’s turn to move.
You get to have fun going through auditions, practice, and the big performance, and you must impress Cleo as you do!
Monster High: Skulltastic Survival
This adorable game has a collection of mini-games that simulate a day at Monster High!
You play as a new student and go through five “classes,” each hosted by a different character and essentially a unique mini-game. Each class gets tougher, and if you fail a class three times, you’re “on probation” (game over).
Monster High: Freaky Footwork
Another of my absolute favorites is Freaky Footwork, which is an arcade soccer juggling game featuring Clawdeen, Frankie, and Lagoona.
You move your chosen ghoul left and right with arrow keys and use A, D, W keys to kick the ball with different tricks. The idea is to not let the ball drop while aiming it to hit various floating bonus icons above. Each girl even has a special combo kick for extra style points!
Winx Club Games
Despite adoring the iconic show, I never got around to playing too many Winx Club games when I was growing up, but I’m definitely willing to explore them when I have the free time. In the meantime, here are two that I did used to enjoy playing!
Winx Club: Gardenia Ice Cream Shop
This one is a time-management game where you help the Winx run an ice cream parlor in Gardenia!
You have to fulfill the customers’ ice cream orders before they get impatient and combine flavors, add toppings, plus serve sundaes quickly!
Winx Club: Winx Magic Memory
This is a classic memory card flip game with a Winx twist!
Cards are laid out with images of the Winx girls in various outfits or poses. You flip two at a time, trying to match pairs.
Totally Spies Games
I am hanging my head in shame as I admit that I didn’t watch or even know about Totally Spies as it was premiering from 2001 to 2005. It makes sense since I was only five when its initial run ended, but I’m still ashamed, especially because I’ve yet to go back and watch it!
But I 100% plan to do so when time allows it, and in the meantime, I’ve been exploring a few Totally Spies games, such as:
Totally Spies: Dance
This is a rhythm dance game where you must press the correct buttons to dance, and if you miss one, you’ll fall. If all three of the spies fall, the curtains will close, and you’ll have to restart!
Totally Spies: Spy Chess
In this unique spin on a chess game, you have to jump on opponents to capture them while avoiding being caught in their paths!
The board’s squares light up to highlight possible moves, making it a little easier to make the right choices.
Totally Spies: Mall Brawl
In this game, the girls must go to the mall and put a stop to Tim Scam’s scheme!
You must complete several tasks, like cleaning up all infected cash registers and destroying all enemy bots during your mission. During this action-packed mission, you have to navigate the mall and win fights using keyboard keys to jump, crouch, run, and more.
You can power up by collecting cash, drinking lattes, and chewing bubblegum—plus, you get to choose the spy that you’d like to play as.
With so many elements, this game is definitely entertaining, even as an adult!
Totally Spies: Groove Panic
The town of Groove is in desperate need of help, and it’s up to you to save them!
In this game, you have to aim at the bad guys and flying objects coming toward you with your mouse, then click to shoot. If anything touches you, you’ll lose a life.
You can also write down the password the game gives you at each level to start the game from that level next time you play, which is a super cute and on-theme element to add to a game surrounding spies!
Strawberry Shortcake Games
We all know who this diva is! She’s been around since the 1970s and has managed to remain a very popular icon throughout the decades! I’m sure most of us can say we were Strawberry Shortcake-obsessed at some point—and many haven’t ever gotten over that obsession!
For those who still love all things Strawberry Shortcake, here are a few of my favorite games of hers!
Strawberry Shortcake: Berrylicious Bake-off
What can I say? This is a classic!
It’s a baking competition game where you help Strawberry Shortcake and friends mix ingredients, bake cakes, and decorate them in a friendly contest to see who can make the most berrylicious dessert.
Strawberry Shortcake: Mind Your Manners Tea Party
This is another one of the many etiquette and serving games I enjoyed as a little girl.
You’d host a tea party with Strawberry Shortcake, where you set the table, serve tea and treats to guests, and be sure to use proper manners while doing so!
Strawberry Shortcake Dressup
Of course, every legendary franchise has its fair share of dress-up games, and Strawberry Shortcake is no different!
In this classic dress-up game featuring Strawberry Shortcake and her berry best friends, you can mix and match adorable outfits, hats, and accessories themed around fruits and sweets for each character.
My Scene Games
Time to talk about this short-lived yet infamous Barbie spinoff! My Scene dolls were sold in the US from 2001 to 2009 and were officially discontinued in 2011, but even though they weren’t around for as long as some other franchises, they still definitely made their mark.
The My Scene games are still discussed pretty frequently today because so many of us have core memories of sitting in front of the computer and playing them for hours! Needless to say, these games were and still are iconic. Here are just a few of my favorite ones!
My Scene: Snip N Style Salon
Starting with one of the most memorable games, in this super-chic hair salon game, you become the hairstylist for the My Scene girls! You get to wash, cut, and color their hair, and you must try to match trendy reference looks—all within 3 minutes!
My Scene: Shopping Spree
Another of the most memorable—and possibly thee most memorable—My Scene games is My Scene: Shopping Spree!
This unique fashion dress-up game is basically a virtual mall day with the My Scene crew! You can pick a theme for your shopping spree (a night at the club, a school day, a sleepover party, etc.), then choose two My Scene girls to style.
You get to act as a sort of personal stylist as you mix and match tops, bottoms, dresses, shoes, and accessories until you’ve created the perfect outfit for the occasion!
My Scene: Room Makeover
For the room makeover girlies, this game was an essential part of the My Scene game rotation!
It’s an interior design game where you get to decorate the ultimate hangout space. Pick out furniture, rugs, wallpaper, and fun decor, then the My Scene characters get to live in your creation!
My Scene: Beauty Studio
In Beauty Studio, you get to select one of the girls (Madison, Chelsea, Nia, Delancey, or Kennedy) and give her a full glam makeover. Style her hair, apply makeup, and finish the look with jewelry and accessories!
My Scene: Dazzling Nails
This is a simple nail glam game where you get to play manicurist to the My Scene girls!
You choose the nail length and shape, then choose from the wide range of colors and apply polish. After painting, you can add cute stickers, gems, and patterns to each nail, making every design totally unique!
My Scene: My Music
Finally, there’s My Scene: My Music, which is a mini music-making game where you can select your music, background, and characters, then watch your music video come to life!
Barbie Games
Of course, My Scene was a Barbie spinoff, and we must talk about Barbie in an article about nostalgic older games because, duh! But Barbie really needs no introduction. I may have been more of a Bratz girl, but that doesn’t change the fact that Barbie is that girl.
Barbie has been around since the 1950s, and she’s been the most popular fashion doll ever since! For the past 60 years and counting, she’s been relevant, so needless to say, she has had the most games. I can’t talk about all my favorites in just one article, but here are a few!
Barbie: Makeover Studio
This is another game similar to the ones listed above, where you get to act as a beauty guru! You transform Barbie and her friends (Madison, Chelsea, Nolee) with fabulous hair, makeup, and accessories. Plus, you get to see a before-and-after photo at the end!
Barbie: Jumpin Fun
This is a (sometimes frustrating) jump rope fitness game that keeps Barbie in shape and used to keep little me entertained for hours. In it, you have to time your jumps so that you make it over the jump rope, plus, move side-to-side to collect stars, balloons, and treats.
It’s simple and fun to play, and the upbeat music makes it even better!
Barbie: Animal Shelter
This is a classic and a favorite for a lot of people, including myself! It’s a pet care sim where you help Barbie run a busy animal shelter. You choose a kitten, puppy, or rabbit and care for it, making sure to keep it happy and healthy.
It’s a super cute and relaxing game to play, and definitely one that us animal lovers enjoyed.
Barbie: Star Surfer Girl
This is a surfing adventure starring Merliah, Barbie’s surfer-mermaid persona!
You guide her on a surfboard, avoiding obstacles like seagulls and sea lions, and collecting starfish for points.
You also get to perform cool surf tricks for a chance to win the big surf competition.
Barbie: Super Wedding Stylist
Wedding game girlies are probably very familiar with this one!
It’s the ultimate wedding planning game where you design Barbie’s dream wedding. You get to create her perfect bridal look by choosing the gown and adding details. You also get to customize a wedding cake, and even design her sparkling diamond ring.
It’s like being a wedding planner and fashion designer in one!
Barbie: Good Morning, Barbie
I actually never played this one as a child because I didn’t know about it, and I’m mad about that because little me would have loved it!
This game gives you an interactive behind-the-scenes look at Barbie as a morning TV news anchor. You get to help her pick her outfit and do her makeup, select news stories for the broadcast, and even adjust the studio cameras for the perfect on-air angles. All on a time crunch!
It’s a fun multitasker that lets you run your own morning show and see Barbie shine on live TV.
Barbie: Ready Set Checkup
I couldn’t not mention a Barbie doctor game!
This one is a fast-paced game where Barbie is a kid’s clinic doctor and you’re her trusty nurse.
You race through mini-games to check patients’ height and blood pressure, match bandages, catch healthy snacks, and more—again, all on a time crunch.
Barbie: Cakery Bakery
My addiction to time management games needs to be studied.
In this one, Barbie runs a bright-pink bakery, and you play by taking customers’ orders and baking cakes from scratch. With several increasingly busy levels and multiple ovens to juggle, it becomes more and more difficult to keep all of Barbie’s friends smiling and full of sweets.
Barbie: Pom Pom Squad
This one is a high-flying cheerleading stunt game that puts you on Barbie’s cheer squad.
You launch cheerleaders from a trampoline to build human pyramids.
You must aim each jump just right, which can be tricky, but fun to do!
Barbie: Presto Pizza
Pizza-making games are goated, like, I’m sorry, but there was no bigger pleasure for little me than making a virtual pizza from scratch!
For this pizza parlor game, Barbie and little sister Kelly run a super-speedy pizzeria, and you must roll dough, choose fun pizza shapes, top them with ingredients, and bake them to perfection without letting them burn.
Fill orders in order, time the oven just right, and sprinkle on the appropriate seasonings afterward!
Barbie: Groom and Glam Pups
Finally, there’s Barbie: Groom and Glam Pups, which is an adorable virtual pet salon game where you pamper and dress up Barbie’s puppies.
You get to pick out an adorable dog, name it, then groom and style it. Choose its outfit and accessories, and then set up a photoshoot with fun backgrounds and take a picture of your styled pooch!
Fashion & Dress-Up Games
We’ve already covered a few dress-up games, but I played hundreds of them as a kid, so naturally, there are tons more to discuss!
While I can’t put all my favorites into one article (and may seriously need to consider writing one dedicated purely to the best dress-up games from the early 2000s—check back soon in case I do!), here are just a few of the dress-up games that I was obsessed with growing up!
Shopaholic games (Tokyo, Milan, Paris, New York, Hollywood, etc.)
Oh, to be a kid again, racing to get on Agame to play the Shopaholic games!
The Shopaholic games are a beloved set of dress-up and shopping games where you live the life of a fashionista in different global cities. You get a budget to start with, and then you get to roam fabulous shopping districts full of boutiques.
Each Shopaholic game features the local style of its city, like trendy Harajuku pieces in Tokyo or chic couture in Paris. Plus, there are daily fashion challenges and sometimes sales or surprise gifts.
You get to earn money and then spend it again on must-have items, rinse, and repeat! It’s like a virtual shopping vacation with endless wardrobe possibilities, and I loved every second of it.
Fashion Designer: New York
This is probably my favorite Flash fashion game of all time, I’m not gonna lie. I think it’s one of the best fashion games ever! I don’t know what it is about this game that has me in such a chokehold. Probably all the memories of my mom playing GirlsGoGames with me for *hours—*from escape and home decor games to makeover and fashion games—yet we would always return to this one when we wanted to have the most fun!
The character designs are gorgeous, and the premise is simple enough. In this legendary game, you play as an up-and-coming designer in NYC, preparing a collection. You choose three models, then create a look for each of them based on the category each was assigned (such as professional, casual, dressy, etc.), and after designing, you walk the runway, getting critiqued by the judges, who’ll tell you how well you did when it comes to sticking to the theme.
This game was brilliant because it combined creativity with feedback, and it actually taught a bit about matching style to theme and being cohesive. I have very fond memories of my mom and me becoming enraged every time we thought we had created a five-star outfit, only to get negative feedback from the judges.
And yes, I still experience the same rage when receiving their critiques, even when I go back to play the game today! 🤠
Fashion Designer: World Tour
This is a sequel to Fashion Designer: New York, which takes the concept global. Now you travel to fashion capitals like London, Paris, Tokyo, etc., and design according to each city’s style.
I didn’t and don’t play this game as much as the original, but it’s still iconic and super enjoyable! It expanded on the original game with even more choices of garments, and getting good feedback in each city felt like conquering the fashion world.
Max & Ruby Dress-up
Max and Ruby is such an adorable and underrated show that I loved so much as a child! I didn’t play many of the Max and Ruby games, but I did enjoy this sweet and simple dress-up game featuring the bunny siblings from Nick Jr.
In it, you can dress Max and Ruby in various costumes and outfits by dragging and dropping the clothes in their rooms. It’s simple and cute—and I might have been a bit older than the target audience when I stumbled upon it, but I still found it adorable!
Total Drama Girls Dress-Up
Total Drama Island might be one of my favorite cartoons of all time. Or at least top twenty because I’m super indecisive, but you get the point!
Anyway, despite watching (and nowadays, rewatching) the show religiously, I never got around to playing too many of the Total Drama games—but of course, if there was a dress-up game for it or any other show, I was going to play it.
In this game, you get to style these cartoon reality-show contestants in new outfits—particularly, in each other’s clothes.
Super simple, super fun!
Betty & Veronica Dress-up
Another TV show that I have the displeasure of admitting I never got around to watching. But hey, at least I played the game!
You can dress the two girls, Betty Cooper and Veronica Lodge, up with a wide variety of clothing options. It’s another super simple one that still manages to be incredibly fun!
Sue’s Dating Dress-up
It was only recently, when I went back to check out the old Agame site using the Wayback Machine, that I realized just how iconic Miss Avata Star Sue is! This little icon is a good example of why I love going back in time whenever I can and rediscovering the games I used to play. I pride myself on remembering all my favorite games from childhood, but when I came across the Sue games again, I realized that there are a lot of games that I’ve totally forgotten about over time!
I’d completely forgotten about Sue and how much of my time I spent playing her mischievous little games as a little girl until now. From her infamous dating games to her cooking and hair makeover games, Sue’s games kept me entertained at all times!
Sue’s Dating Dress-up is, of course, no different. In it, Sue is getting ready for a date, and you have to help her by picking from various cute outfits, hair, and makeup options. You must find something that matches her date’s theme and that Sue (and her date) will like!
It’s super cute, and definitely helpful for me personally since Sue is a Korean character and the Sue games’ instructions are written in Korean, which is making my Korean studying feel a lot easier and more fun!
Spongebob Games
I’m sure I played a lot of Nickelodeon games growing up, but despite being pretty much equal parts Nick kid and Disney kid, I mostly stuck to playing Disney games, so I hardly remember playing any Nickelodeon ones.
I’m sure I did, and I’ll have to write an article about my favorite Nick games after doing a bit of memory searching, but for now, I’ll have to talk about the few Nickelodeon games I absolutely remember playing for hours on end: The SpongeBob games!
SpongeBob: Love Hurts
The season one episode sixteen episode of *SpongeBob—*Valentine’s Day; The Paper—is one of my favorites of all time. Or at least top fifty. Again, I’m indecisive. But it has to be one of the most memorable episodes of the show, and this game makes it even more so!
In it, you have to run away from a livid Patrick, avoid obstacles such as balloons, and collect chocolate to throw at him. It’s a simple yet addictive game that remains one of my favorites to date!
SpongeBob: Sand Wars
Another of my simple but addictive faves is SpongeBob: Sand Wars.
You have to attack Patrick’s sand mounds by throwing clam shells at them while simultaneously protecting your own mounds! The goal is to destroy all of his mounds in order to level up, but be sure to rebuild your own once they’re attacked because if he destroys yours, it’s game over.
SpongeBob: Reef Rumble
This is a classic that many people will remember!
In Reef Rumble, you get to choose your fighter (a SpongeBob character) and then have a wrestling match against other characters. You can play in either arcade or tournament mode, and the goal is to win the match by punching, kicking, and blocking attacks.
SpongeBob: Krabby Patty Flipper
Krabby Patty Flipper is one of the many, many SpongeBob cooking games you can play.
You have to cook Krabby Patties and review orders, making sure to build the burgers correctly. You must avoid burning any patties and make sure to create the burgers as ordered because after five wrong orders, you’re fired!
SpongeBob: Quirky Turkey
In this game, instead of Patrick chasing SpongeBob, it’s the other way around!
Patrick is dressed as a turkey, and SpongeBob thinks he’s a real turkey, so he’s trying to catch the starfish. You have to help Patrick get away by dodging all enemies and obstacles.
SpongeBob: Patty Panic
Finally, there’s Patty Panic, which is a game where you have to help SponegBob make the world’s biggest Krabby Patty by walking over ingredients—while simultaneously dodging Plankton.
It’s similar to Zack and Cody’s Tipton Trouble game!
Disney Channel Games
Now, time to talk about some of my favorite Disney games!
I saved these for (almost) last because there are so many of them that I thoroughly enjoyed playing! I couldn’t include them all in this article, and narrowing it down to this bunch was hard, but these are just a few of the ones that I played the most as a kid!
Kim Possible: Shopping Avenger
Words can’t possibly describe how much I loved and love this game!
It’s a shopping-themed platformer where you play as Kim and rush through a mall to grab mission-critical gadgets and last-minute attire for a mission.
You get to choose your mission, then review what items you’ll need for it, and then use Kim’s acrobatic moves to collect all items on your shopping list. You must avoid items you don’t need and only grab the ones you do—and this all has to be done within 90 seconds. If you fail to grab the appropriate items, Kim will look ridiculous, fail her mission, and have it printed in the newspaper!
It’s a high-pressure game that, frankly, I still haven’t mastered to this day. And even though I usually end up clicking out of it in frustration after a few rounds, I always return to it because it’s very cute and engaging!
Kim Possible: GWA Wrestling Wriot
In this one—inspired by Ron’s love of wrestling—you get to choose between playing as the wrestlers “Pain King” and “Steel Toe,” pick your finisher, and enjoy a tough fight.
The goal is to select and apply combos of wrestling moves that will inflict the most damage without getting too hurt and losing the match yourself.
This is another one that I never mastered but always found incredibly entertaining!
Lilo and Stitch: 625 Sandwich Stacker
We all remember this one! The game is pretty simple: you have to help Reuben, also known as Experiment 625, build a huge sandwich for Stitch!
You must catch as many of the correct ingredients as possible while avoiding the wrong ingredients.
Suite Life On Deck: Longa Conga
One of the best and most addictive Disney games ever created, if you ask me! I loved and religiously watched both The Sweet Life of Zack and Cody and The Suite Life on Deck, so of course, I enjoyed all the Sweet Life games, but this is number one in the list of my top three favorites!
All you have to do is choose who you want to play as and then move around using your keyboard arrow keys. Dance into people to get them to join the Conga line and you’ll level up once you’ve gotten enough people to join.
Each level gets progressively more difficult, and as your Conga line gets longer and longer, it becomes more difficult to avoid running into Mr. Moseby or items on the deck and getting caught.
Suite Life On Deck: Smoothie Sailing
This is a classic customer service game where you have to make different customers unique smoothies and attempt to keep them all happy!
Sweet Life of Zack and Cody: Pizza Party
This is my second favorite Zack and Cody game!
It’s one of the beloved maze games similar to the ones I mentioned earlier—Holly Hobbie: Surprise Party and Hope’s Babysitting Maze—and in it, you have to collect as many pizzas, party snacks, and other items as possible while avoiding running into Mr. Moseby and Carey.
Sweet Life of Zack and Cody: Tipton Trouble
My third favorite Zack and Cody game is Tipton Trouble, which involves helping the twins run around the hotel, hanging posters in each of the hotel’s picture frames without getting caught by Carey or Mr. Moseby.
The games that involve trying not to get caught during a mission never seem to get boring, especially as they become more and more challenging as you progress!
Hannah Montana: Miley and Lilly’s Designer Dreams
Hannah Montana came out in 2006 and ended in 2011, and yet my mom is still sick of Hannah Montana because I talked about her 24/7 growing up. I thought I was her. I would have lived in her skin if I could’ve!
Needless to say, Miss Montana is a renowned and beloved figure who raised most of us in the early 2000s, and I spent half my early life playing her games! One of my favorite ones? Hannah Montana: Miley and Lilly’s Designer Dreams.
In this one, you get to choose between giving Hannah or Lola a makeover. You can pick whether they should wear shirts, skirts, dresses, pants, and choose their other accessories. Plus, you get to choose the cut you’d like for their clothing, and drag your favorite colors and patterns onto the items to make a totally unique design.
It’s a game that gives you a lot of creative freedom, which is why it remains one of my favorites even today!
Hannah Montana: Rockstar Fashion Challenge
Another favorite is the classic Hannah Montana: Rockstar Fashion Challenge!
Miley is late for her concert and needs to dress up as Hannah Montana before hitting the road! You have to look at a picture of Hannah’s outfit, memorize what she’s wearing, and try to recreate it before time runs out.
Hannah Montana: Roomy Room Redo
Of course, the Hannah Montana had some room makeover games as well!
Not much needs to be said here. You get to customize the room to your liking by choosing the wallpaper, carpet, furniture, and decorations!
The Proud Family: Sticky’s Mixmaster
I have to expand my vocabulary, and trust me, I’m working on it, but I once again have to describe a game as—you guessed it—addictive. Because why lie? It literally was!
I loved The Proud Family, and this is the best Proud Family game there was! You have to click pairs of matching tiles with the characters’ faces on them and clear the board before time runs out.
Each pair you clear adds a new sound to your mix, and at the end of the game, you get to hear the mix you made!
The Proud Family: Toon Maker
In this one, you get to create your own Proud Family cartoon by selecting characters, settings, and lines for them to say.
Then, after building your cartoon, you can watch it!
Wizards of Waverly Place: Quest For the Stone of Dreams
Whispering: Another addictive game.
In this one, you get to run through a cave and avoid evil creatures while collecting statues and green diamonds for extra points. You can also collect berries while navigating the cave to gain extra energy and increase your life bar.
Ratatouille: Culinary Combinations
Ratatouille is a masterpiece, and I loved the movie so much when I was growing up, yet I didn’t play the games until recently!
This one is another simple one that requires you to catch all the correct ingredients on time while avoiding the incorrect ones.
Ratatouille: Kitchen Chaos
Meanwhile, in this one, you have to help Linguini deliver all the correct ingredients to the chefs!
It’s simple, but delivering the ingredients quickly without messing up gets progressively harder, and if Chef Skinner sees you making mistakes, you’ll lose!
Ratatouille: Dinner Is Served
Finally, there’s Ratatouille: Dinner Is Served, which involves seating guests and serving them their food as it comes from the kitchen. Each game is timed, and you must earn the target amount of cash for each game!
It’s similar to the Diner Dash games—just Ratatouille themed—so I love it.
Other Flash Favorites
Now, let’s talk about just a few of my other Flash favorites! Some of these (I feel) are a bit more niche, and I always find myself wondering how many other people remember them!
Kindergarten
This one is an abundantly fun, underrated classic! It’s a simulation game where you manage a daycare/kindergarten. As the caretaker, you have to juggle feeding toddlers, changing diapers, playing with them, and keeping them happy until their parents pick them up.
As you progress, you can upgrade facilities or hire an assistant because more babies keep coming! It’s like Diner Dash but with babies (and frankly, even more hectic).
Terrible Triplets
This game irritates me to this day, yet I keep coming back to it.
It’s a babysitting game where you look after infant triplets, and each baby will fuss for different things, whether they need to be wiped and changed, fed, given a pacifier, or anything else. You have to click or drag the correct item to each baby quickly, or else they start wailing, which will disturb the other babies and lead to a scolding from the mom, who you’re (very kindly) babysitting for.
(The audacity of that woman to get mad at me just because her kids are little demon spawns?! But okay…)
Devilish Hairdresser
Ah, one of my favorite genres of games: The ones where you get to experience an adrenaline rush as you try not to get caught doing something you have no business doing! There were several of these games that I liked, but this is one of my favorites.
You’re a devil hairstylist competing against an angel hairstylist. The client in the chair is getting a hairdo from the angel, and you, as the devil, have to secretly mess it up whenever the angel isn’t looking. It’s a stealth game, and you can’t get caught or else it’s game over, but if you succeed in messing up the client’s hair, the client ends up with a horrendous hairstyle, and you win that round.
Office Kissing
Similarly, there’s this Office Kissing game that I was obsessed with back in the day! You just have to avoid getting caught smooching by only kissing your coworker when your boss has his back turned. While he’s distracted on the phone, you and your coworker lock lips, and you have to pull away when you suspect the boss will look at you.
Simple yet entertaining and never fails to make my heart race!
Oriental Flirting Game
It would be illegal for me to write an article like this without including this diva!
In the Oriental Flirting Game, you must charm the guys you walk past by shooting lasers out of your eyes at them. When you do this, they’ll fall in love with you and follow behind you as you walk. Soon, you’ll have collected a bunch of lovesick fools! But the challenge is competing with other women who are also shooting their eye lasers at the guys.
You have to click on your mouse rapidly to ensure your laser is stronger than the other women’s!
Fever Frenzy
I spent years trying to rediscover this game when I only had a vague memory of it, and it wasn’t easy finding it just by typing in “old hospital game” when there were literally thousands, but finally, I found it!
Fever Frenzy is yet another wonderful time-management hospital game where you manage patients with bizarre illnesses.
Patients come into your clinic and you direct them to the right stations, treating their ailments as quickly as possible. If you don’t get to them soon enough, they’ll become impatient, storm out, and you’ll fail.
Woman On Top
Another game that I spent years trying to find and finally did, thank God, Woman on Top is a platformer game where you have to jump up on platforms, avoid falling, and avoid getting pushed off by flying birds.
It’s simple—and rage-inducing when you’ve made it so far up only to make one wrong move and come crashing down.
Bloons Tower Defense
Most of us played this game as kids, so I don’t think it needs too much description. In this incredibly fun game, you just have to place monkey towers along a path to pop waves of balloons (“bloons”) before they can get by.
It starts off easy enough and soon becomes just as rage-inducing as Woman On Top—but any game can become rage-inducing when you’re me.
Dash Games
I know a Dash game hated to see me coming back in the early 2000s, and even now.
Wedding Dash is probably my favorite, but I love Hotel Dash, too, and of course, Diner Dash and Cooking Dash are the OGs. All of the Dash games, regardless of setting and industry, involve the same thing: time management and customer service.
You have to keep customers happy to avoid them storming out and upgrade your business as you go. Of course, the longer you play, the more difficult the game becomes.
I had to mention these games because they’re still definitely some of my favorites today, especially because even at my big age, they remain challenging!
Other Nostalgic Faves
These aren’t actually flash games, but as hard as I tried to write this article without including them, I could not bring myself to do it. These are some of my favorite games to date and I play(ed) them religiously, so of course, we’ve got to talk about them!
Burger Shop & Burger Shop 2
Dare I say these are some of the greatest cooking games of all time?
While the original Burger Shop was a flash game, the second and third variations are not, but in all of these (I’m sorry but) addictive games, you get to work the assembly line and put together customers’ orders by using the ingredients on the conveyor belt.
You must use the right ingredients and serve customers quickly to avoid them getting angry and storming off. As you advance, you add more menu items, get even shorter-tempered customers, and it becomes increasingly difficult to reach the target goal.
Ranch Rush
Me and my girl Sara used to be locked in daily. I was running that farm like the military!
In this game, you start a farm and grow crops, gather eggs, and milk cows to fill daily orders. Of course, as the game progresses, you can add more items, gain new customers, and managing the farm becomes way more difficult.
It’s a grid-based farm, and you plant seeds, water them, harvest produce, and lasso animals for products, all within a time limit. I love playing it when I want a challenge!
Sally’s Salon & Sally’s Spa
I clearly have a ton of favorites, but this seriously has to be one of my favorite time management games of all time. In Sally’s Salon, you manage a hair salon, where you seat customers, wash, cut, and style their hair, and then check them out. Of course, you have to do all this quickly to keep them happy and avoid anyone storming out.
In Sally’s Spa—which, although I can’t decide for the life of me, may be my favorite Sally game—you do the same thing, but inside a spa. You must juggle giving facials, massages, manicures, etc.
Both games feature cute graphics and become increasingly intense as you play longer.
The Game of Life: Path To Success
I swear, there are only five people in the world who remember this dang game, and aside from the creator and its haters, I’m one of them.
This game isn’t to be confused with the much better-known and (to most people) enjoyable 1998 variation, which I have still yet to play but definitely need to. This is the 2000s version of the game, which a majority of people don’t seem to realize exists, and the ones who do hate it and think it’s an extremely boring knock-off version of The Sims.
Me, on the other hand? I spent years searching high and low for this game (from an extremely vague memory). I spent so much of my time as a kid sitting at the computer desk and playing this game, and I think it’s one of the first games I ever played that wasn’t based on a popular character like Hannah Montana or Barbie.
I’ll admit, it is a simple game where there “isn’t much to do.” You just have to perform tasks like getting things for your family members to keep them happy and upgrading the house here and there. But even though the characters are pegs and the tasks are somewhat redundant, this game is super nostalgic and perfect for when I want to play a game that doesn’t require a lot of thought but can keep my hands and eyes busy.
(I play it a lot when saturating! Speaking of which, don’t forget to check out 30+ Fun Games to Play While Saturating Your Mind)
WoozWorld
This is a game that I know for a fact had hundreds of thousands—probably millions—of players back in the day, yet I rarely see it come up in the nostalgic game conversations. Justice for WoozWorld!
Although it’s still around today, it was really everything back in the early 2000s. I have fond memories of playing this game with my best friends while talking on the phone with them, and having singing competitions and talent shows.
(My poor mom’s ears. I’m sorry, I thought I was Beyonce, but in my defense, I do still think I could out-sing the Queen if I really wanted to! Anyway…)
I still have my old account with all my old Unitz, clothing, and Woozpetz, too! I remember hanging around the virtual park and movie theater, playing “adoption” and pretending to be part of people’s families when I logged on, plus getting frustrated while trying to complete the quests—which were a huge deal back then.
Arguing with my friends over silly things via messages, getting my mom hooked on the game to the point where she allowed me to pull an all-nighter where we stayed up and played it together while listening to Disney music—and I even have the vaguest memory of Vampire De La Mode…I remember the phrase and how big a deal it was back then, but I have no kind of memory what it was about…I’ll have to uncover that mystery at a later date!
The point is, I loved Woozworld from 2010 until probably 2014 or 2015 and logged in to play it daily at its height of popularity, like many other people. It’s a fun virtual world where you can make friends and do activities like decorating your rooms (Unitz), hanging out in public areas, attending events, doing quests, and more.
Although the game offers a ton of fun events, the most fun I ever had was when I was playing with friends in whatever way that looked like at the time, bonding with them through the game, and swapping clothes with them. I’ll forever remember that as one of the most fun times of my life!
Agame Games
Agame has come up a lot throughout this article because, despite how many gaming websites I played on as a kid, this one was always my main go-to. I browsed this website daily for years and thoroughly enjoyed the games that were always being added to it!
Since I’m for sure going to make an article dedicated to my favorite Agame games, I won’t go into detail here, but I couldn’t complete this article without at least listing some of these favorite games of mine! So, here they are:
⭐The Great Burger Builder
⭐Cake decoration
⭐Bake pancakes
⭐Cooking (You have to try to bake as many loaves of bread as possible)
⭐Honey (Inspired by the movie)
⭐Cake Mania Online
⭐Sue’s Dog Beauty Salon
And so many more.
Again, we’ll talk about some of these Agame classics in another article—and I’ll be writing a lot more articles on other iconic games from other platforms, such as Spyro, Surviving High School, Build-A-Bear, and more. So, no worries if your old faves weren’t mentioned in this article. Trust me, we’ll be getting around to talking about them soon!
Final Thoughts
Whew. We covered a ton of games.
There are hundreds of games that I adored as a kid and still do now! I wanted to write this article so I can always refer back to it and have my memories of my favorite childhood games, plus help others rediscover their own favorites! Hopefully, I helped you unlock some forgotten memories or discover cute games to play in your free time when you want to forget how stressful being an adult can be for a few minutes.
But despite how many games we covered in this article, there are still tons more that we didn’t even touch on! Like the operation games that the Agame warriors will remember, the educational games found on sites like Funbrain and Starfall, and iconic gaming sites like Movie Star Planet and Poptropica that I desperately need to revisit soon.
So, of course, I’ll be writing plenty more similar articles soon. Chris McLean voice: Stay tuned!
