Manifestation can be incredibly simple, but the vocabulary surrounding it can sometimes feel complex and overwhelming. If you’ve been confused about the difference between affirming, affirmation types, rampaging, and saturating—or wondering which one is “right” for you—this article is here to break it all down.
Keep reading to learn the difference between affirming, rampaging, and saturating!
What Are Affirmations & What Does It Mean to Affirm?
Let’s start with the basics! What are affirmations?
Affirmations are short, potent statements you repeat to affirm your desired reality. They’re designed to reinforce new beliefs and help you consciously redirect your thinking. They are used to promote a positive mindset, foster personal growth, challenge negative thoughts, and reinforce a belief, identity, or desired outcome.
Affirmations are used to rewire your subconscious mind and help you embody the version of yourself who already has your desires. You can think of them as mental scripts that, over time, can help you shift your identity, change your assumptions, and rewrite the story you’re living out.
To affirm basically means to purposefully pick your thoughts. It means repeating statements that align with what you want to experience until those statements become natural to you, and your subconscious accepts them as truth.
In the Law of Assumption, affirmations are your thoughts and assumptions, and therefore, affirming means declaring who you are and what’s true for you now.
Repeating affirmations is how you can think as the version of yourself who already has your desires, as we learned in Manifestation 101: Thinking as VS Thinking From – There’s A Difference
How to Affirm
There’s really no perfect formula for affirmations, and no need to overcomplicate it. You say and do what feels best and most natural to you, and as long as you’re doing that, you’re doing everything right.
With that said, a few tips are to use affirmations that feel natural, believable, and that resonate with you. Try to always use positive affirmations instead of negative ones, and use past or present tense affirmations.

When to Affirm
You can affirm whenever you want to!
There is no wrong or bad time to affirm, and no set time when you have to affirm. Do what you want, what makes you feel good, what works for you, and what feels natural or comfortable for you. With that being said, here are some recommended times to say your affirmations:
🌟First thing in the morning or right before falling asleep – This is because your brain is in SATS (State Akin to Sleep) and your subconscious is most receptive around this time.
🌟Throughout the day, when triggered or spiraling – Instead of allowing yourself to wallow in negative thoughts, doubts, and fears, alchemize those spiraling thoughts into something beneficial to you by repeating your positive affirmations.
🌟While walking, cleaning, or doing repetitive tasks – Instead of letting your thoughts go in whatever direction the wind blows them, be intentional. Say your affirmations any time you can, especially when doing simple tasks.
🌟Any time you need a mindset reset – If you’re having a rough day, not feeling your best, or just feel that your overall mindset could stand to be a bit more positive, don’t hesitate to say your affirmations.
Robotic Affirming VS Focused Affirming
You may have heard people talking about robotic affirming or focused affirming before and wondered what they were talking about or what the difference between the two is.
Robotic affirming is mindless repetition with no emotional engagement. You don’t have to feel anything—you’re just repeating the affirmation constantly to saturate your mind with it. Robotic affirming can be done all day and all night long. You usually want to pick a short and easy affirmation to robotic affirm, so you can repeat it without even having to think about it.
You can robotic affirm while doing other simple tasks, and the purpose of robotic affirming is to familiarize yourself with your affirmation fast, allowing it to soak into your subconscious even quicker. It’s also a great way to control your thoughts!
On the other hand, when you’re focused affirming, that means you’re present and intentionally directing your awareness into the new belief. With focused affirming, you sit and focus on your affirmations, giving them your full attention and allowing the words to really sink in.
When you focus affirm, you take the time to really digest what you’re saying and understand why you’re saying it. Focused affirmation sessions usually last between 10 and 20 minutes, though they can last for longer or shorter periods of time.

What Is A Rampage?
A rampage is an extremely powerful manifestation method that involves flooding your mind with positive affirmations. During a rampage, you’ll say dozens of affirmations that all revolve around the same topic or desire. For example, you may have an SP-related rampage or a money rampage.
A rampage can last as long as you’d like, whether that’s for ten minutes or ten hours. Most commonly, they last between ten and thirty minutes.
Rampages can get you hype, pull you out of a negative spiral, and help you get into the state of the wish fulfilled fast.
If you wanna learn more about different rampage types and additional info, you can read What Is A Rampage? Manifest Using This Powerful Manifestation Technique
As effective as rampages are, a lot of people don’t have them because they feel silly or ridiculous while trying to have one, don’t know how to start them, struggle to come up with affirmations, can’t get into a good flow, etc.
So, how do you get past these issues and begin having consistent rampages?
You can take the time to find or create a long list of affirmations to refer back to whenever you need them and arrange them in an order that will allow you to have a natural-feeling rampage without having to think too hard about it. Or you could grab The Big Book of Rampages, which does all the hard work for you.
The Big Book of Rampages is a Law of Assumption tool designed to help you saturate your mind and think from the perspective of the version of you who already has it all. Its purpose is to make having rampages feel simple, easy, and much less intimidating.
With 155 pages, 20 rampages with 55 affirmations each, 9 affirmation categories, 10 challenges, 11 habit tracks, and much more, The Big Book of Rampages will ensure you’re always able to have rampages without getting caught up on small details like not knowing where to start or what to say.
Plus, on tough days when it’s difficult to think of positive affirmations, all you have to do is read the ones provided in this book!
Now, keep reading to learn more about rampages and discover what saturation is.
What Is the Point of Having A Rampage?
Rampaging helps you build emotional intensity and momentum behind your desire. It’s a great way to “feel it real” quickly, especially if you’re feeling stuck, low-energy, or doubtful.
Of course, you don’t have to feel anything real to manifest it, but rampages are good for making you feel confident and certain that your desire is already yours. As mentioned above, they’re also great for pulling you out of negative loops.
How to Have A Rampage?
Just start talking to yourself or writing your affirmations! Rampages should flow like a conversation that you’re having with yourself—not to be confused with inner conversations.
How to Manifest By Using Inner Conversations
It’s easier to show you than to tell you how to have a rampage, so here’s an example:
Dream Life Example Rampage
This rampage should put you in the mindset of already being the version of yourself who lives in your ideal reality. Whether it’s your dream job, lifestyle, relationships, or inner peace, you should talk about the things you desire and, of course, speak from the energy of “It’s already mine.”
“I just realized that I’m literally loving my life so much lately. I’m in love with my life! Every day I wake up feeling so lucky to be me. My life looks exactly how I always dreamed it would. I mean, I have everything I ever wanted and more. The money, the material items, the looks, the SP, the health, the friends, the family, the house, the car—literally everything is just perfect, and I can’t believe how incredible everything is!
I’m really living proof that you can have it all because the old version of me would literally never have been able to imagine living the lifestyle I live now and having the things I have now, but just look at me! Clearly, anything is absolutely possible because the way I’m thriving in every way right now is crazy, and frankly, it’s what I deserve. Why am I even surprised? Why would I not be thriving? I’m an amazing person, and I deserve all the happiness in the world, and everything and everyone knows it. I was always gonna win—there’s no way I was ever gonna live a crappy life that I didn’t want anyway because I’m a big deal, I’m a winner, and me losing was just not written in the cards. Everything always falls into place for me just like it should because…”
And continue it until you’re satisfied.
When to Have A Rampage?
Like affirmations, rampages are great to have when you’re in SATs or feeling triggered. They’re also great to have when you’re trying to boost energy or confidence, want to get out of a spiral fast, or want to prepare for a big event.
What Is Saturation In Manifestation?
Finally, we’ll discuss what saturation is!
In simple terms, saturating your mind means repeating your new story—your affirmations, thoughts, images, and emotions—until it becomes your dominant mental reality. You flood your inner world with your desired version of events, leaving no room for the old, unwanted assumptions to sneak in.
A saturation session is a dedicated block of time where you immerse yourself in your new reality—the version of life you’re manifesting. You can do ten-minute-long sessions, eight-hour-long sessions—whatever works for you.
As long as you’re spending time thinking from the perspective of the version of you who already has your desires, that’s all that matters.
Of course, for more in-depth info about saturation sessions, you can read What is Saturating in Manifestation? How to Use Saturation to Manifest
What Is the Purpose of Saturating?
Saturation is a form of repetition, and we all know that repetition is key when it comes to impressing the subconscious mind. By repeatedly having saturation sessions, you’re repeatedly returning to the state of the wish fulfilled and soaking in your desired reality, which impresses your subconscious with the belief that you are living in your desired reality and already have your desires.
Saturation can also help you “normalize” your desire. When you continuously return to the end state during your saturation sessions, you’re familiarizing yourself with the normalcy of having your desire.
How to Saturate?
Everyone’s saturation session will look different as everyone has different preferences, but you can saturate by doing things like affirming, rampaging, scripting, visualizing, having inner conversations, or doing prompts.
For more in-depth information about saturation sessions and routines, plus what you can do during your saturation sessions, you can check out Saturation Sessions Don’t Have to Be Boring – Manifest By Saturating and 30+ Fun Games to Play While Saturating Your Mind
But for now, as I mentioned in Manifestation 101: Thinking as VS Thinking From – There’s A Difference, you can do various other activities that will help you practice thinking from your ideal self’s perspective and immerse yourself in that person’s reality.
For example, if you’re manifesting wealth, ask yourself, “What does the wealthy version of me spend their time doing?”
There’s a vast number of answers, and all of them can lead to fun, lengthy saturation sessions.
Examples:
🌟The wealthy version of you can afford their dream home, so they spend their time browsing for furniture, researching moving companies, trying out paint samples, watching home decor videos, learning about construction, browsing for housewarming invitations, and more.
🌟The wealthy version of you can afford to visit the spa whenever they want, so they spend time looking into various spa treatments, deciding which ones they want, planning weekend getaways to the spa, finding the best spas nearby, or making plans to travel out of state just to visit the perfect spa (because they can, so why not?)

Now, keep reading to learn more about saturation and the difference between affirming, rampaging, and saturating!
When to Saturate?
You can saturate at any time! Try to be consistent and do it daily. Form a fun routine and treat it like self-care—because as I always say, saturation is self-care.
You can saturate while in SATs or any time throughout the day. You can even saturate while doing other small tasks as long as they don’t require too much brain power.
What is the difference between Affirming, Rampaging, & Saturating?
Now that we know what these terms actually mean, let’s take a look at some of the key differences between affirming, rampaging, & saturating!
Affirming is more about saying affirmations, whether you choose to repeat one, loop 2-3, or have a rampage with dozens.
Rampaging isn’t about repeating one affirmation, but it’s about saying a stream of affirmations in a way that flows naturally—you’re basically talking to yourself, but only saying positive affirmations or words that reflect you already having your desires.
Saturating is the act of soaking in your desired reality. You can saturate by affirming or rampaging. You can also saturate by doing other things like scripting, visualizing, having inner conversations, listening to subliminals, etc.
Should I Affirm, Rampage, or Saturate?
Each method serves its purpose. It’s best to do a mix of them all!
You can affirm at any time.
Tip: Consider robotic affirming an umbrella affirmation throughout the day!
Have a desire-based rampage once a day, and try having a separate saturation session where you script or do any other method you like.
You don’t have to choose between doing one or the other. You can do them all or just choose what you like the most and stick with it.
Common Mistakes to Avoid While Affirming, Rampaging, & Saturating?
You really can’t go wrong with these methods, but just make sure you’re:
🌟Doing what you actually like – No need to do anything you don’t.
🌟Using affirmations that feel natural – No need to force yourself to say affirmations that don’t feel natural to you.
🌟Understanding it’s already done – Enjoy knowing you’re doing these things because what you want is already yours.
🌟Not being inconsistent – Don’t affirm for one day, have one rampage a month, or have one saturation session every few months, and then wonder why you don’t see any results, especially when you think against having your desire outside of doing those things. Be consistent.
Final Thoughts
I know how intimidating the manifestation space feels when you’re new to it, especially when you’re unfamiliar with the terminology. I hope this article helped clear up any confusion you may have had!
Remember, you don’t have to choose one technique—they’re all part of your toolbox. Use what works, experiment, and evolve.

FAQ
Do I have to do all three—affirm, rampage, and saturate—to manifest successfully?
No. You don’t have to do anything to manifest successfully except understand that it’s already yours and assume that you already have it.
What if I don’t feel anything while affirming or rampaging?
That’s okay. You don’t need to feel intense emotion for it to work. Repetition changes the subconscious. Emotion can help, but you don’t have to force it.
What’s the difference between robotic affirming and focused affirming?
Robotic affirming is when you say affirmations without intention or attention. Focused affirming is when you give your undivided attention to your affirmations and really digest what you’re telling yourself and why.
What if I mess up or have a bad thought? Does it ruin everything?
Not at all. Manifestation is not about being perfect. It’s about persisting. One bad thought doesn’t undo your work. Just return to your chosen story.
What if Nothing is Showing Up Yet, Even Though I’ve Been Saturating for a Long Time?
If you’re asking this question, I can tell you exactly why it isn’t showing up: You’re not being the person who already has it. The version of you who already has it isn’t asking where it is. That person is busy enjoying it, living with it, knowing that it’s theirs.
Do you go to a drive-in, order food, pay for it, pull up to the window, and then start start crying, second-guessing whether or not you’ll actually receive it, frantically looking around, and asking where the food is when you don’t see it within two seconds?
I really hope not.
You know you have the food, and you’re confident in the fact that you have the food because you literally just know that you have it. And you knew you had it the second you placed your order and paid for it, so you weren’t crying and looking around for it before it was handed to you.
Instead, you were chilling in the car, listening to music, scrolling through your phone, or talking to your family and friends while your food was being prepared. You could probably already taste it, and I’m sure you were already planning what to watch while you ate it, or even what to do after you did.
Stop frantically looking around, trying to figure out where your desire is, “if” you’re going to get it, and when. Understand that you already have it, enjoy living as the person who already has it, and have fun planning what you’re going to do now that you have it.
